OK - thanks. I thought I missed it. Did you buy the wideband from Scott?

not yet, I'm going to use the stock one with my car scan for a bit until I have some extra money and can order that as well.

Spoke with Scott, unit is shipping tomorrow and I'll have it on Friday, in time to get it installed for my trip next weekend.

I'll post some initial impressions this weekend once I get my arms around the unit.

I hope to have some better mileage to report next weekend as I'll do a hwy mpg test with a leaner cruise of about 15.5 rather than 14.7

Hopefully after we get used to how his ecu software works and fully understand what all it does (we are familiar with the Megasquirt software and need to adapt), we'll play around with negative timing split in hopes of getting mileage up even further over what it will come with. We've got a lot of good information that supports negative split working very well under circumstances other than idle. It's going to take a good bit of learning though. The concept is understood but the exact numbers to shoot for are still a bit mysterious. It'll be a long term learning curve so don't expect any great strides over night.

Update:

Got the unit installed without to much issue. Car drives pretty good, idle is running really rich and while smoother, I need to lean it out some as its in the 11's. I don't know if this set of maps are exactly the same of Swoop's or not, I'm not sure if Scott backed it off some for safety.

The a/c seems to cause the car to stumble at idle still, I need to work on that a bit. Rotarygod and I will really attack the tuning tomorrow once we get more familiar with it. I'll post my impressions tomorrow after we dial it in more.

mine still had the stumble when the ac hit.... i did no tuning on it....

the map that was done on my car was for a 3" midpipe with borla resonator and a corksport exhaust... both flow very hi...

also a revi with duct were on the car.... i think that about covers. it...

let me know if i can help any more.....

odd that you afrs are high at idle as it should be in (open loop?)

the one where the ecu controls direct not on a map...

beers

still playing with the software, right now I'm having an issue with the unit talking to my laptop with a serial to USB adapter, so its taking longer as I can't monitor the AFR and tune at the same time.

The afr at idle isn't high, its real rich ie low. the power band feels good for the most part, I'm just trying to tune the idle and cruise settings this weekend.

Serial to USB drivers are a pain for sure. I was hoping the -X would be USB by now.

^^ Microtech would have to rewrite the software to .NET or something more easily compatable. The interface software is great...but it is quite old code by the looks of what I have seen..

I actually just received my Interceptor-X today, and am about to install this evening. The only other addition to my N/A is an exhaust. I am located in Atlanta and drive through Tampa regularly. I wouldn't mind being the guinea pig to produce the numbers. I've been wanting to dyno personally anyway. All I need is an incentive (low fee?, a beer) and I am road tripping it this weekend.

why on earth would you spend 2x the money of an accessport for something that allows less adjustment and has more complications then an accessport....

especially for NA use then yet

I am in the middle of installing my Interceptor-X and I have a N/A with exhaust only. I would be willing to drive down this weekend to get the results with a little incentive (small fee, beer). Let me know 513.265.8216

Well, if he has an AT, the IntX is the only one that has shown any proven gains NA. Scott has routinely gotten 20 whp with the 4-port AT using nothing but the IntX. I have mine on with the base map and you can feel the difference.
