Intake/Exhaust and warranty

Hi, I'm new to the forum and haven't quite learned all the features. I'm sure this question has been asked 1,000,000 times, but I'll brave to ask it again.
Will installing an intake and/or exhaust void my warranty?
Thanks in advance for the replies.
I just got my '05 RX8 last week, and I LOVE it so far. It's so much a joy to drive!

Only if it can be proven that the aftermarket part was a direct cause to the problem you're experiencing. But I garantee you they will try very hard to link the two. Ex: "Well, your front a-arm broke because of your aftermarket intake because the intake made you want to go faster which made you hit a bump at a higher rate of speed than the stock intake would have, thus breaking the a-arm and so we can't warantee that...
Okay, maybe a litte extreme, but they will try hard!

Oh yeah, use the search button too

Hope this helps. Theres more info in the sticky for the Aftermarket Performance Modifications section.

US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312:
Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)).
