your best bet is to do it with a midpipe. The stock cat can do it, but it's not good for it.

excellent, now to order a midpipe. My only concern is throwing a cell without the cat there.

that was my problem too. but I ordered a canscan and a palm pilot. I can then reset the CEL anytime it comes on, plus read all my car's sensors and information. Can even graph afr's, fuel usage, etc.

since it's a palm, it can sit in the car all the time, and has instant on..

mmm.. sounds like another geeky device to add.. and maybe add sat navigation to a palm in the car too since the treo has software to do it, lol. That could be useful.

Flame thrower kit

well...... you could always buy a flame thrower kit!
They have em in NZ.. Mag and Turbo is letting them go at a 100bucks.... that'd be abt 50USD
Plus with these you always have the option to turn them off etc.

Its illegal to use them on the roads tho......

These kits use unburned fuel to make the flame. The cat on the car should take care of this unburned fuel. There is nothing left to make a flame.
These aren't much more than a spark plug (you have to make a hole in the exhaust to insert this), ignition coil and some sort of trigger circuit to send voltage to the coil.

Need to upgrade the cabin filter to the Aldehyde, expensive but worth it.
