Thumbs up Installed RP Supercat *video*

I received the RP Supercat I ordered from rx7.com (Fast shipping and friendly staff btw). The install was pretty straight forward, though it wasn't without a hiccup or two.

The bolts holding connecting the down pipe to the stock cat were fused to oblivion, so after stripping two of them with the impact wrench, I just decided to take the angle grinder to them. Problem solved.

Took the stock cat off and was surprised to see the inside in this condition:

Probably happened when I scraped the cat a while back. Though it makes me wonder where the missing chunks went...

Also, the RB + RP is not nearly as loud as I anticipated. Honestly, through 6k rpms, the sound is almost exactly the same as before, with a slight difference between 4k and 5k. But above 6k, its noticeably louder. If the RB sound by itself was a 3 on a 1-10 scale, its probably only a 4 or 5 now.

Anyways, took a video earlier this evening. This is with the RB catback, K&N intake and the RP supercat.

Thanks for the video. I am curious how the most recent versions of the Supercat look. Any change you snapped any pics before you installed it? Most interested in if there's a heat shield still there over the cat portion, and whether or not a hanger is affixed now.

Thanks,

It shouldn't, but I guess that doesn't answer your question.

Thanks,

Sorry, didn't take a pic. But to answer your question, yes there is a heat shield and yes it uses the rear hanger. Perfect fit.

No CEL.
