get the one that works.

I have only seen evidence that the mazsport system is proven to eliminate the 330 whp barrier.

If you want something that works out of the box...get the Mazsport kit. It was designed for the RX-8...comes with everything you need to install it...and it fits and looks great....

There is also the Esmeril. It hasn't been released yet, but they show a picture of it.

How about one of us do what I ask people to do when they get BHR stuff and pound the crap out of these coils and see what happens before we tell people to get them out of hand?

does the mazsport one replace the oem? and is it just problem free or an actual improvment?

the mazsport one replaces the oem coils, but it also adds an ignition box, new spark plug wires, and all the mounting hardware. The upgraded coils not only give you more powerful sparks, but they'll last longer too.

With the OEM stuff, many of us replace them yearly because they don't last long in the heat.

the mazsport one is the best, as it is the only one available..

and most would agree with that the mazsport stuff is always well designed and built..

How long are the Mazsport's supposed to last? Also, if they go out is it another $600 again?

I don't have any background with the upgraded coils, so I can't say with any certainty. But I expect that I won't have to replace my coils again. With the OEMs, I was replacing them once a year because of the harsh conditions they were exposed to. Even people with stock settings usually need to replace them every 30k miles or so.

It will not cost $600 to replace the coils - remember, the upgrade isn't just replacing the coils, you're upgrading the ignition system, so there's other components included. The replacement coils appear to be around $60 each (There's 4). But that's just a guess since we don't know exactly the coil model. You can contact Mazsport to see what they charge for them to verify.

The MSRP on the individual coils is $60.99 but you might find them cheaper than that.
