Your car is not in "bone stock form". Stop saying that, it makes you sound confused.
Practically no one here has an RX-8 that is "bone stock" and your use of that term is like saying your mom is "a little pregnant". Either she is or she isn't and your RX-8 is stock or it isn't.
There is no way to make "bone-stock" and "modified" congruous.

He’s posting this info because he wants to share his plethora of information with this community but he cannot to the point that it incriminates him if something does blow up and he needs his warranty.

 

has judge ito posted a timeslip of his 14.3 run yet?i read the top thread and he did mention that he was gonna post it but never did...he also claim to have videos of it? Can someone show me the timeslip or video of the run...I'm interested. You guys have nice cars, my friend just got one,

 

Without giving away your secret mod, can you or anyone else give an example of a mod that could be done to a car that would allow someone to say "The car looks and is in bone stock form"?

Some of us a very very confused by your statements and an example might help.

The 14.3 seconds refers to a timeslip posted in a previous thread

It appears from this thread that he has modded his RX-8 in a manner that is difficult to detect and that he wants to conceal it due to a perceived (real or otherwise) threat from the so-called Mazda Police. Hence his carefully worded references to his car being stock.

 

If members think 239.7 rwhp on a bone stock renesis engine is not valuable info. and a platform for other members to go by, then close this thread..

I think ITO is dropping clues but everyone is too pissed off or opinionated to see them. The Judge has been very careful to throw in statements like "I love N/A" and then using adjectives that seem a bit out of context like "high revving," and "Carefully balanced" to describe the engine. In the immortal words of ***** Wonka "It's all there, clear as crystal" I'd place a healthy wager that the rotating assembly has recieved a high perf balance job allowing higher rpm's which would make port work even more effective.
It has long been a catch 22 that big ports are good for high RPM power but suck for everyday driveability. The RENESIS has 6 ports, who said you have to work all of them?? I'm willing to bet that he "modified" the high RPM ports. This would explain the sudden jump in power on the dyno. You would get a stock looking engine with stock streetability. No external mods. By George, I think he's done it. This is the rotary equivalent of VTEC, MARK MY WORDS!!!! You the man ITO. N/A all the way.

For everyone who is being sarcastic about Mazda's monitoring of this board, I suggest strolling over to the Mitsu forums and taking a gander at what's happening over there. Ito has already had to pay for rearends and/or tranny work, by the way.

That's what I love about internet forums..... When someone is testing a mod, people bitch and complain if the thread starter doesn't post every 10 minutes. Yet Ito lets us know that there's a high ceiling in the motor, more to come after testing, and people cry like babies. Power aint free, nor is it found quickly. Let the man test it, and go watch 2Fast2Furious while you wait.

And I don't speak for Ito, but I think by "Bone stock", he means that no aftermarket parts have been installed. Once you change your radio presets, is your car no longer "stock"? :D

Changing a radio preset is adjusting something in the car that was meant to be changed. Just like turning the steering wheel isn't modifying anything.

If you do something like drill holes in the motor, it's no longer stock - as no RX-8 out of the factory will have those modifications.

Regardless if you buy new parts, or make changes to existing parts, what you are doing is modifying your car, and thus it isn't stock.

If all Ito did was take air out of his tires, he could claim it was still stock... if all he did was save some radio stations, it would also be stock.

My only suggestion to anyone who's thinking Mazda is watching (not directed to just Ito), is to sign up a new screen name, and use an anon web proxy, and post.

 

A "bone stock" motor + nitrous = 239 rhp. What's the confusion? the motor's unchanged - it's stock. I'm interested... but I'll be really disapointed if this is just a 12 page lead-up to the bottle. That dyno sure looks like nitrous.

 

The "lead up" is everyone bitching. Ito probably would have followed up with some info, but it's doubtful he wants to share it with a bunch of ******** who want to play word games about what exactly qualifies as stock. I've got the answer right here: Who the hell cares??!!

Now that 90% of the "contributors" to this thread have insulted the guy and basically called him a liar, I'd like to see him keep it a secret from you children, then sit back and watch everyone cry about it. Sure, you call B.S. now, but when he posts that 13.2, all you same losers will beg for the secret.

He already owns the record for best ET in an RX-8, and has now found a way to wring 40 more HP (at the wheels) from the motor, and you guys are more hung up on word games than encouraging him?
