However, I hate secrets. This isn't a formula 1 race team or a top secret military project. It's an RX-8. Pure and simple if the car is completely stock, it isn't putting down those numbers. I won't even believe a dyno chart if it is still insisted it is stock. If there is ANYTHING at all changed to give it more power than it came with, it isn't stock. Period. I don't deny the fact that Ito has found a way to get those numbers but I am absolutely positvely sure that the car is not 100% pure untouched bone stock. There is no ecu mods, no intake, and no exhaust. That leaves us with a "stock" engine but with added help somewhere. Logic tells me nitrous since technically he hasn't changed anything on the car and there is no boost. Just an added line to all stock parts. That I will believe. However it is a mod and therefore it isn't stock anymore.

If you are going to keep something secret, don't tell anybody anything at all including "teasers". It's all or nothing.
car looks and is in bone stock form but a modification has been made..

I have more to loose here then anybody else. There is more going on behind the scene that puts me in a sitiuation that I will not discuss the mod that has been done. The car made the power and it will make more power as I go along. I'm showing the potential this renesis engine has, I'm not trying to sell a product..

You make it sound like you're doing something illegal.

You have to expect some negative feedback when you say that you're running 240rwhp but you won't say how. And this insistance that your RX-8 is stock is just silly.

I don't mind for the negative feedback. It doesn't really matter to me. Again I'm showing that the Rx8 has potential in it. And please re-read my quote...

Are you worried about someone from Mazda seeing the modification you made so they can void your warranty? If that's the case, please PM me to give me details on what you did, since we'll never get an answer on what you did. however, some of us ARE interested in what you are doing to your bone stock car.

I think we all know that the car has more potential, otherwise we wouldnt try modifying it. I dont care who you are or what your reputation is, I would rather your just keep your "secret" to yourself. Otherwise share your wisdom with the rest of us.

what were the final numbers put out that day? there are no pictures of the car as it passed the 1/4 mile? Seeing pictures of the car at the starting line ain't much proof in my book.

Though the Dyno is impressive, especially when it jumps late in the RPMs.

I was thinking the same thing... but time will tell.

On a side note, very interesting dyno, looks stock until 6-7k rpm, then boom! major jump. Sdais mod? Looks a little nitrous-y to me... gah..The waiting is the hardest part.

Dyno plot......

With all due respect......
That has got to be the worst posting of a document I have ever seen.
Did you take the picture underwater?
Is it a map of the Mississippi?
I give up. please repost.

It sound like a Nitrous, or a piggyback, or some other ecu reprogram. If you look at the dyno the spike in the chart to 239.7 jumps around the average numbers most members are pulling. Like he is riding it to it's known and taped potential and then giving it a sudden additvie somehow. Like CZ stage 1 thay say they get a good kick around midrange maybe it's something like that. But I can tell you it only works once in the high bands and full known power has been reached it's no steady increase all around. Or at least that's what I think but I'm no expert.

It looks like spraying to me (or someone managed to retrofit Honda springs, valves & cams on a Renesis, and now we have an RX8 VTec / i-VTec :D :D )

Thumbs up

Damn people give the man a break. He stated he isn't at liberty to say more. After all those people getting us excited about superchargers/turbos but seem to disappear when asked for dyno sheets, Judge Ito comes along and shows us the dyno sheet. 239 at the rear wheels is a HUGE improvement over any other mod from what I have seen.

I for one am glad to know someone has managed to get this kind of power.
Keep up the good work Ito.

Okay. I don't care what the mod is at the moment b/c I won't own an 8 for another 2 years. So, I just want to know if whatever you have done to your car will be an avalible product on the market in the future? Or is it already out there avalible for the Renesis or other rotaries?

Yeah Xyntax, wasn't your car the one on tuner transformation? Did you get it dynoed or did you pull it all out before you had the chance to see what it could do?

Ito: Please don't think I don't respect you and what you do. I do. You are one of the smartest people around when it comes to rotaries. My pet peeve is secrets. That's what I don't like. It isn't anything personal.

i'm kinda curious too.

also, isn't it worse for the grip of treaded radials (serious overheat, and the bleach probably ain't good for the rubber either) to do burnouts on them??
