I am very interested in the Hymee Enhanced exhaust I didn't think I would be able to get it but now that one of our Vendors has become a Hymee importer I have new hope!

I took interest in Hymee's exhaust a while back. It's a gorgeous piece, and so far it's number two on my list of impending exhaust systems. Sorry Hymee, Racing Beat comes first.

 

**** easy to install.........remove the old unit and replace it with the Hymee one.

As for the look of it, it looks almost like a HKS unit with the exception of the tips.

Hymee's got one of the better looking sounding exhausts I've heard. That guy had a very good idea of what he's doing.

 

I really like how the tips are not vertical...the ends are cut at an angle closer to the angle of the body

I love the sound clip on his site...yes I saw that before I was looking for any other clips since the clip 'in car' was poorly recorded

I must say though...I found the sound in the clip of the best of all the exhausts I have heard...it is deeper, louder (not a lot) then stock...and much crisper then the others I have heard...but I need some more clips

 

oh also what is the difference between the aluminised mild steel and the stainless steel one

The Hymee is not that loud either........barely noticeable at idle in fact.
It certainly is a lot quieter than the HKS.

 

Unfortunately i have no sound clips but can point you in the direction of a long thread i started on the UK owners club forum. I started it when i was interested in the Racing Beat but ended up with the Hymee. Throughout the thread there are many pics of the exhaust taken by both Hymee and myself. might be totatll off, i think the aluminize steel probably more subject to bronzin, where stainless would not.

The aluminised steel version has the same stainless steel tips as the full stainless version of the Hymee. And the mufflers and pipes of the same aluminised steel version are coated with a special black paint.

I should point out that the popping/backfiring in this sound clip is not normally experienced to this level in normal driving. It is very occasional in everyday usage......

Hymee's system is first class. I've had mine for about six months now, and love it to death. The tips have held up really well, still look great and are really scratch resistant. One thing that few seem to have noticed is a phenomenon I've called "feathering" on the overrun. When you start to decelerate and you close the throttle, you will notice something like a "Jake brake" (exhaust brake) sound if you then add a little pressure lightly to the accelerator pedal. Not enough pressure to start accelerating again, just enough to stem the drop off in revs too quickly. The sound is a low rumble and it's something you feel through the car, and hear out of the exhaust. It's not at all loud, and it's not unpleasant. In fact, it's a sound characteristic/feel I've come to love and I encourage it every time I drive the car. I have mentioned it to Hymee in the past, and he confirms that his own system does it too, he too loves the sound.

Should you get one of these systems, you won't be disappointed.

My Hymee exhaust turns one next week. Still going strong. Hymee does a great job with all his products.

that is one nice growl...it is the tone of the growl which I am drawn too...other exhausts have a nice growl as well but this tone is far more aurally pleasing

After having seen and heard Gomez and Lexic system live, I think they are very nice exhaust. It is quality made products, even it is mild steel!

Who has the stainless.... I think Gomez and Lexic's are mild steel. Or I am wrong... again?!

From L&L, who have heard both, said both system sounds the same and stainless steel look marginally better.

 

Yeah Taka, I have the aluminised mild steel system. I don't think there is any change in the sound produced by either system. BTW, the sound clip posted by Wildcard was of his stainless system.

the sound, similar, other than that what is the difference? (price? look? weight? etc?)

Stainless is more expensive as it uses more expensive materials. It is also more durable.

Sound is similar, identical even.

Once fitted, externally they look the same but if you peek under the car, the mildsteel is black coated and the stainless is a polished piece of art.
The stainless stell also requires you to change some of the tiles of your garage with mirror ones! :D
