High Flow Cat Pass Emmissions?

Hey guys my current set up is 3 " stainless magnaflow from the cat back. Want to get a high flow cat but concerned on it passing emmisions, any one have an idea. As well I'm noticeing the oem cat has an O2 sensor, at least I beleave that is what it is. With the high flow cats I've been veiwing there is no location for it, Am I missing something? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

hey dude. I have a custom exhaust system from header back purchased off a member here. It has a high flow cat, going to resonator then out to a single magnaflow muffler. 3 inch all the way. He had a spot created past the cat for the o2 sensor so I don't get a CEL when driving. I'm going to see if I can emission test it and verify if it passes and will let you know. Hoping it does.

It's a magnaflow high flow cat as well.

Failed e test. Running too rich. Don't know if I should re tweak with Cobb back to stock. Too rich

dude I feel your pain
I had a RP SuperCat

I tried many tweaks on the Cobb and couldn't get it to pass.

Put the OEM Cat back on .. ran the Stock Style tune ..... GREEN Light not even close to a fail

Do yourself a favour and just put the OEM back on for the E-Test
Trust me

Side Note:
Darkbrew and I are going to try the Dave Sport cat.
We've got the cat, we are just trying to find someone to fab it in to the RP Midpipe we have for it.

thanks for the heads up. Glad I kept everything. The exhaust was from mangok, you can look up his posts. Good guy.

I'll see what I can do with slapping on the old stuff and testing. I'm 5 months away from sticker time, so not worried

Let me know how you guys make out. Even though this exhaust failed, I love it, it's breathing so much better.

a buddy of mine here in SoCal just recently failed Smog inspection with the RP Supercat.

@wcs: a shop here JUST made that swap for Scremn8 and so far he's liking the davesport cat welded into his RP.
I'm up next, just need to find time to get mine welded in.

to the OP: I guess the lesson learned here is to be very careful with high flow cats as some but most will not pass emissions.
Also depends on where you live, some states are much more strict then others. Stupid California.

Does California have the sniffer test or just the ODB II test.

Did this get moved out of the Canada regional forums? It looks like the OP is from Welland/Niagara.

"Remote smog sensors are appearing along California
roadsides to measure emissions from cars as they drive by.
The entire process takes about three seconds."

Whoa

the davesport would more then likely fail.
if you have not seen one yet it's pretty small.
but it does free up some power.
