nope,

i think it is related to what you got.. the borescope of the front at 18k miles was shocking.. not perfect on the front side, but really, really close.

but you have to recall. the mounting is not the norm.

we all learn together. risk is good.

sharing is what makes it work..

Wouldn't sharing imply posting some details on your "unconventional" mounting?

I tried doing this the super secret handshake way with a PM, but your inbox is full.

some room now.

add 70 min of more really ugly track time.. just over a mile long. all second gear.. from 4200 rpm to just before fuel cut off.

::: bump :::

Any pics 12+ months later?

How is it holding up SwoopE? We are still waiting on pics.

You mean "seems to have not"

plenty of those died sooner and it was likely going off longer than you realized

the "cocktail shaker' DOES work ...

yea,

the last event before it died i had multiple issues.. broken sway bar mount, heat cycled tires. fear of daytona banking and a vibration above 121 mph. i guess i missed the fail of the cat..

the real fail of the cat was semi subtle. car seemed meh on the drive to RR. i was running new tires so it was all a bit new..

but damn, when it went it was obvious.. kept loosing 10mph into turn 1..

now that i know all that. thought it was the motor, then an exhaust leak.. well, new same cat and gaskets installed. car is solid again..

got the traction control light on the 2 to 3rd shift.. not bad for the 75k, first batch of mazda reman motors.

really wish i took you up on the motor the brice owes me.. sol on that one..

as to the cocktail shaker, they are about an hour away from me. if my rx8 was a daily driver i would have done it.. but 500 bucks for a track car in a state that has no emissions testing is silly..

I never heard of them since I've been here since 2012, but I'm not really up on all the different companies that make them.

TeamRX8 is the guy here I think would know.
