Today i remove my 8 catalystic converter replace it with normal mid pipes with no cat converter but the sensor still inplace, i think i can get more HP out of it well im wrong an hour ago i run my 8 0-100 Km/h drag and my time drop 2 sec from 5 to 7 sec and below 6000rpm the responce also drop, after that i install "lamda folder" and the check engine light turn on even so i scan it dont work, remove battery for 3 menit so it can reboot also dont work and still power is lost.
i runs out off ideas, i hope my fellow 8 lovers can help me out. thanks...
"lamda folder" = device for manipulating ecu so it still think the co level is right, i install it after the cat converter sensor

 

Why did you bother re-installing the sensor with no converter?

 

 

I re-installed my sensor with no cat because I needed it to plug the hole. Probably the same with speedaholic, here. He should also realize that the CEL is passive.

Sounds like you connected the "lamda folder" (O2 fooler) wrong, upsetting the ECU.

Check you have the two right wires, sensor and sensor ground, not the heater power & ground wires.

Ignore the light or put your cat back on... Those are your choices it seems.

 

In Indonesia is legal for a car without Cat converter, so what the hell as along it gives me more power.
and I intend to fix that engine light problem then if next saturday the dyno said I lossing WHP I will put back the CAT.

My 8 clocked 5.6 sec exactly in the verricom device!!
I got 220 WHP in butt dyno, that before I removed the CAT!!
and I got good news, Charles R. Hill says that engine light on because CAT removed is not a problem and not lowered WHP!! I can wait to see the dyno result! "all finger crossed"

Yes, stock 350Z but it still feels good!!
my exhaust is RB, and I make my header in "KARYA JAYA" muffler shop located in Jl. Palmerah ( direction : if you came from MPR building you turn left at the traffic light, after you turn left it placed 20 m in the left )

I'm not very happy with my header cause my mechanic said that it has poor quality steel and I intend to change it if I got spare money, until then I stick to what i've got after all maybe it's better than stock it have polished inside pipes so is very smooth!!
You've got to go to Sigma Speed !! the owner ( Soleh ) and his son (Boy) are very good mechanic " best in Indonesia"!! Unichip cost me abaut Rp. 3.500.000.- that priced included tuning and dyno testing!!
I intend to go there this saturday maybe you can come along!!
