18HP from just a header? Is that what you are saying?

Go read the earlier thread. 18hp from the complete system.

for midpipes, i am thinking to get one too. but none of them really got in my mind. RP supercat and mazsport are pricy, RB midpipe has no resonator(i hope they make one with resonator cuz i mostly trust RB products among those different midpipe brands), rx8store has 3 midpipes but none of them come with hangers i believe(not sure, no complete search result), B&B, agency power, excoticspeed dont have resonators, SR motorsport has no good qulity. Come on Racing beat, make one with resonator

Right, that's what I said. The complete system is the header, a race pipe, and a high flow exhaust. All I'm saying is that the header itself isn't responsible for much of that.

obviously you know.

and obviously everyone around here who gets a high flow exhaust and race pipe get 16whp because the header itself isnt responsible for much.

Thats what I was eluding to. The header alone adding 18HP is bs. Lets see some dyno graphs. Oh, and 18HP for the average full header back system with a catless midpipe is bs as well.

18 HP for a cat delete and a high flow muffler is about right actually. It wouldn't be streetable due to the noise though... unless you enjoy getting lots and lots of tickets

EDIT: Oh, and of course those gains are just peak HP... you won't see much benefit at all until the RPMs get up past 7000, and even then the amount of extra torque you're putting to the ground won't really be all that noticeable. Peak HP is a stupid measure of an upgrade, you really need to look at a full dyno plot... but that's another rant all together.

When my car was stock all the other 8's with all the bolt-ons were running the same and in most cases slower times in the 1/4. One in particular had MSP flywheel, Intake, catless MP, and catback and we ran neck and neck. Can we see a dyno graph for this 18HP header?
