You can find them HERE There will be a box in the middle of the screen, just put in something like " RX8 Exhausts"
|
Headers:
ExoticSpeed Racing Beat (currently still being researched and designed) OBX RE Amemiya = $$$$ R Magic = $$$$ Mid Pipes: Racing Beat Rotary Performance B&B SR Motorsports Mazsport RX7store.net Turbo XS Exhausts: Tanabe GReddy HKS Racing Beat Borla SR Motorsports Turbo XS Exotic Speed Next time try to use search, there have been tons of posts on headers, mid pipes, and exhausts. |

sent an emial to them about doing a group buy. 900 is way too expensive and pointless becasue the cost of fabrication and materials is really around 100 dollars.
300 per would be a much better deal and possible with a bulk order |

The only thing you can hope for with an aftermarket manifold or header at this point in time is weight reduction, but I'm guessing this header weighs even more than the stock manifold. I'd be much more interested in a stainless log manifold. |
right, exactly. that you are aware of. consider yourself ignorant and about to be educated of a header that produces horsepower with real gains.
pete's fab shop is used by meyer motorsports, they race in the koni challenge and had a hand in the design of the headers. |
Someone online here actually races in the Koni challenge and he said he say something like 18 whp or something with that header.

that would be eric meyer, owner of meyer motorsports.

DNA Motorsports makes a ceramic coated header with the 02 sensor in the collector and it allows for a the air injection to function properly. NA it changed my HP and TQ a little (according to my GTAC PRO SS), I lost a little down low and picked up a little up top. My AIT dropped a few degrees and I can MAF reading increased a little. IMHO the stock manifold works very well for a stock engine and even a modified NA vehicle, I dont think you will see any real improvmeent with a header unless you have a supercharger which is why I installed mine.
They are also a little louder then stock. Check the link below for pics. http://www.dnamotorsport.com/Mazda/M...erformance.htm Price is about $700 delivered to the USA if I remember right. They also have a battery relocation kit (trunk). |

I don't suppose this mystery racer has a valid set of before and after dynos to back up that ridiculous claim? Honestly I wish that it were true, but with the state of the renesis exhaust ports there just isn't that much there to gain IMO. |

Header back, full 3" exhaust and no cat should make 18HP but not just the header. if it was true they would be all over the forum selling them like hotcakes for $1000 a piece. 18 HP is expensive for our cars.
Like I said, I'd love to be proven wrong... but I don't expect to be. |
thats basically because you are ignorant.
i gave you all the info you need, im not going to spoon feed you. |
isn't there an intake that's gonna give us 20whp being released soon too?!?!?!?!?!?!
 |
no, not really.
but if you go to a mass rx8 dyno day, you'll notice that all the rx8s with intakes (and otherwise stock) make ~5-8whp higher than the totally stock 8s. |

unless you are running a dual resonated midpipe with a single outlet 3 inch exhaust :P I'd be interested to give that a shot!
|
seriously so funny to watch you guys internet fight...i really do love the entertainment throughout my day at work though.

Right.... 90% of which is gained from the cat delete.

Wow, you sure are standoffish. I read the thread you're talking about, and Mr. Meyer specifically said the gains were catless with a low restriction exhaust (read: way too effing loud to run on the street).

agreed.
im not going to bother arguing to somebody that doesnt want to listen. he can either accept what i say or not accept it. either way i dont care, the loss is his. |
I will also say that Eric is a great guy and wouldn't have said it without knowing it. He has no reason to. He's not a vendor, he's not making a dime off saying they work. And in fact he said don't buy them for a street car. He paid a lot of money to have the system designed, and he uses them on his professional race cars. I can't imagine he does this for his own well being.
