Have heard that it is TI and that TI exhausts are louder than stainless . Not really wanting something too loud .

there are two versions i believe. but since you're getting it 2nd hand then i guess there's no choice. the titanium wall is thinner than the stainless steel version. also a lot lighter.

a Ti version may be louder than the exact same exhaust in SS , but one manufacturer's Ti is not necessarily louder than another manufacturer's SS

our JIC Ti is not much louder than the OE exhaust

btw, at least have the courtesy to show people what you're starting a thread about:

http://www.ganador.co.jp/muffler/catalog/GD-545.html

http://www.ganador.co.jp/muffler/catalog/GD-750.html

on the info pages it lists both the SS and Ti exhaust sound as 87 dB, which is very quiet

.

Any exhaust that's good enough to be LoTR merchandise is good enough for me.

The Ganador exhaust is very rare and not well known. How do you expect people to communicate with you if they don't have a clue what the subject is about?

258,000 yen + freight from the land of the sun does not equal cheap

the freight alone is probably $300 to the western US

I suppose I thought that if someone had one they would know about it

Anyway - from your links I can see it is the one with the double walled tips which from the weights would suggest it is the SS one .
It is on auction for 1/2 price (NZ$1000) but I think a 2nd hand exhaust should go for cheaper than that so I'll wait it out

Here is a pic

OK I just bought a Ganador exhaust second hand (The guy provided me with receipts showing he bought it late last year for $3,000 (NZD) ) for the the low low price of $253 (NZD) and had it fitted yesterday. Sounds and looks great. A bit bigger and more aggressive looking than the stock exhaust. At idle the sound is only slightly more noisey than stock (cant really notice it with the windows up at idle) but and higher revs it just sounds amazing!

Im in Christchurch. It was an Asian guy selling it (Aaron Chan) he didnt seem to care how much he got for it in the end. Got my local Mazda dealer to install it.

Ill try to get some sound bites or a short vid of it this weekend. It really really sounds so different from the stock sound. Im very impressed with it. :-) $235 sweeet.

$230 is a mothfxxking steal!!!!!!!

if it is the Ganador vertex titanium then you are one lucky bastard!
I've never heard of it in person but according to what I've read in the Japanese Magazine, it cost around 190000yen in japan , yen to dollar is 0.0087 that mean it'll cost $1566 USD EXCLUDED shipping. it weight 8.6kg and produce 68db/90db @6750rpm , and tone is deep and low. HKS , FEED, RE amemiya and Pan speed have much louder exhaust. from what I read it should sound like a Trust/Greddy MX exhaust ( NOT SP2 ). oh and adverage aftermarket exhaust weight 17.8 kg.
