Fair install price?

Anyone got a ballpark price for a GReddy SE cat-back exhaust and AEM cold air intake installation? Prices from personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Unless youre totally clueless I would do it yourself, Its very easy to do those two things.

But since you asked IDK a price for sure but a shop shouldnt really charge you anymore than 2 hours labor, although I think the job could be done in about an hour.

I would say around $150 would be reasonable at most shops. You USUALLY get what you pay for. I would do it myself and have never installed an exhaust before. Never installed an intake before and I did mine and the car hasn't blown up yet or CEL. Look up a DIY in the forums and give it a shot. If you can't figure it out put the old one back on and at least you tried to save yourself a couple hundred bucks

I take a lot of pride from working on my car myself, so I do (almost) all my own work. Never cracked a tranny or engine open though. But yeah, intake is pretty easy. You could print out instructions first, and get familiar with it if you wanted before you went about it.

I think you should attempt it yourself, I am sure there is a DIY for the CAI at least on these forums. I have only ever installed a short ram intake on another car before but it was very easy, its just disconnecting a few things and the connecting them to the new tube for the most part. Like beodude said working on your own car gives you a sense of pride and it feels good when you complete any type of project on it.

All you need is a flat surface somewhere and ramps or a jack and stands for the exhaust. The intake should be much easier.

i did my exhaust in my apartment parking lot took two hours my bolts were pretty rusted and took a while to get them off with out a breaker bar. But otherwise i was quoted as much as 150 for install of exhaust alone... You just need a jack two stands and a ratchet set and a case of beer

Some apartments say your not allowed to work on your vehicle in the parking lot, but I just ignored them and did it anyway when I lived in one like that. All you would get is a warning if they wanted to but nobody really cares about that rule.
