factory turbo??

at 7stock in the building at the courtyard i saw a mazdaspeed rx8 with a fat intercooler and a boost guage, took pics but cant get guage cause window glare. It was next 2 x-men rx8 and the last RX-7 ever made, a left hand drive spirit r, since it was in the room with clay models of rx-7 concepts and 2 mazda owned 4 sure cars, maybe very soon there will be a factory production mazdaspeed turbo rx8...hmmm

The left hand driver spirit R is just a US spec RX-7 with a 99 spec body kit, spirit R symbols, and rims and new paint job. The RX-8 had the stock exhaust manifold (RotaryGod looked under the car) so the assumption is it is supercharged if anything (my conjecture was that it is just a cool air intake or just an intercooler with no forced induction installed yet), there is a good chance the RX-8 is a personal car (the silver "spirit R" is a personal car).

no, that spirit r is the last rx-7 ever made, it isnt US legal but still an official left hand drive spirit r. i shoulda looked at vin 2 be sure, but im sure the cars indoors at the courtyard are mazda owned, they didnt have the papers so u can vote 4 em as best 3rd gen, rx-8, etc like all the other cars at the show did. I heard about that spirit r b4 7stock and i would be very disapointed if it didnt have 280hp, lol. wats your proof? i have none either so now im confused, haha, and any more powerful rx8 is very very cool 2 me, mazda will be able 2 destroy all comers in its class with performance if it has any force induction

My proof is that I am friends with someone who worked for Mazda for 13 years and knows the owner of the car. The reason the car was parked in there was because the owner works for Mazda. To my knowledge no Spirit-R's were ever made LHD. The X-men RX-8 that was in there is most likely Mazda owned.

what icemastr said is true- it is not an actual spirit r. "just" a us spec 3rd gen done up to look like a spirit R.
