exhaust possibilities

If i were to buy a full catback exhaust kit for an rx8, how benificial would it be to buy a caless pipe. whats the best exhaust configuration for and rx8. no brand names (ie dont say greddy) say catback with catless midpipe or things like that.

thanks

ya i have been looking for while now. I appreciate the nicness. however i cannot find anything specific to my question. i see much dicussion of exhaust systems however none to what the best setup is. and if a catless pipe is worthwhile. is 1 muffler better than 2 vice versa? does the catback kit remove the catalytic converter or do i get a get the catless pipe for that?

midpipe replaces the catalytic converter. that pipe is not part of the catback exhaust system. it is in front. hence the name catback exhaust.

It depends on what you mean by "Best". A midpipe will give you a good increase in hp, but it will also be louder. It will also create a error in your emissions system and the ecu will throw a CEL on your dash.
A HiPo cat will give a increase in hp also, not as much as the midpipe, be quieter, and it also will keep the CEL off.

any way to get rid of the signal? just disconnect the sensor? relocate to another area of the engine? like... the intake perhaps. that seems like it would get rid of the emmisions issue haha no emissions period for he read out.
