Wow! Very cool!!! I always knew you were the man dvcn.
Now, when are you going to come up here and put in that 3 rotor we talked about (I guess I shouldn't have spent all that money on my basement and put it into the 8, huh?)

Make your own bracket and get or make some spark plug wires.

Watch this video that includes testing and tech info on the coil:

Some wiring info:

I wanted the ability to swap the stock coils back in five minutes so I 'harvested' connectors from bad stock coils. If you don't want to do this then just cut and splice.

marsredr100 has threads on coil installs.
Thanks for the info, but I'm not a DIYer on stuff like this. My DIY skills go up to the level of birdhouses or something, not something I actually care about. Not to mention I'll be helping out some members of the rx8 community by purchasing from BHR.

Just thought of a couple points.

-On the dyno, the Racing Beat ram air duct isn't doing anything.

-Washed the car today. Odd thing is that the usually carboned up black exhaust tips were virtually clean. The changes were the AP with the generic stage2 tune Steve gave me, Racing Beat race pipe and the LS2 coils. Can't guess if it was all working together or it was one that made the difference. I'm just happy. The previously badly carboned up tailpipes used to bother me a lot.

Nice numbers. That's really showing what the engine can do with good tuning and I know Steve is a good tuner.

Excellent results!

Though, this is pure fantasy:

Though there is some variation from one dyno to the next, you aren't going to produce realistic numbers by just multiplying your result by a fixed factor.

If you want a "DynoJet" number, go run it on a DynoJet and turn on the SAE correction.

Has there ever been a test done at high speed - two cars , one with the duct and one without ? I'd be very interested to see the results .
I have a suspicion that it helps at speeds of 100mph plus because I've noticed at the track that a lot of cars identical in acceleration to me from about 50-100 start falling away as I wind out in 4th gear . Could be other factors but it has me curious ......

Hey Steve, did you ever make it to the Pacific NW? If you did I must of been on another planet to miss getting my AP dyno tuned.

Maybe one day, just maybe...
