I've never drifted the 8, but I can do some nice figure 8's totaly stock w/o much of any body roll. A good LSD is normally all you need to drift.

whats' wrong with your diff? how often do you participate in drift events? if you just want to replace it with a 2-way LSD. Kaaz and Carbonetic (ATS-Across) makes 'em.

ic, my car is still on GF210 (tanabe) + stock shocks so i can't recommend a coilover. I might upgrade eventually, but my current setup does the job =)
have you replaced your sway bars? have you played with the alignment? what kind of tires are you using? clutch kicker?

i have the basics with 2.5 degrees negative camber (back some my previous 3), and i have no problem getting the back out in a very controlled way, if that's what you mean.

You cant buy skill, just go practice with the car the way it is. Then try to pin point problems and fix them. Build the car around your driving style. You are going to need a nice amount of $$$ for tires anyways.

ima be rocking d2 coilovers unless i get the cash and get some stance coilovers.
look at d2's new there around 900 and its a pretty good midlevel coilover. Ksport is pretty chill to.

2way is a must our current lsd is alright but a 2way feels so much better and doing snap backs will be alot smoother.

also for cheap track wheels go with 5zigen FN's.
17 x 10.5 all around is what ima be rocking. nice low offsets so i can slam the car and sit it flush.
ofcourse you need decent tire

and look at upgraded sway bars and strut bars.

im a big clutch kicker so im getting a stronger clutch soon. i only use ebrake when i ebrake correct when im oversteering.

also one thing alot of beginners forget or never learn are controlled donuts.
im not talking about make the car do a half spin and it stalls out the rest of the spin

go to a big parking lot. put a cone in the middle and your objective is to initiate the donut and counter steer and keep the car controlled and sideways around the cone. it will take practice and tire but its worth it. oh and do them to the left by the way its easier with the stock lsd.

just gas initiate and counter pretty quickly. play with the gas and clutch gently and just steer and counter when you need to.

hehehe... sounded like a porttion of the drift bible
...also, how do you correct oversteering using your ebrakes? just curious 'cause I normally use that when I feel that the car is understeering and lastly, with the RX8's LSD, I don't think it would matter if your doing donuts to the left or to the right... not to me at least.
