Decision on exhaust / warrenty?

Hi Guy,

Trading in my a/t for a 6s come monday morning!

My first concern is if I put an exhaust and intake system will the warrenty still be valid?

Which sounds more powerful? Borla or greddy? Please provide links if any!

I'm looking to spend about or under $1000 including install (if possible).

Please give me some advise!

Kind Regards,
Monte

I have 20300 or mi. or so.

I too have a 04 a/t and i'm swapping for an 6s 05.

7k+trade (should be able to work to 6k-6.5k)

So you had a new exhaust on it or what?

my fault im sorry but i have the Greedy Exhaust and it sounds good doest sound like a rice car, the sound clips that u hear on the net is no comparison to listing to it in person, but to me kinda sounds like a GT car under tunnles, but if u have exhasut if jsut void the exhast warr on the car , now about the intakes some dealers try to void the car but if u have them put the intake in it should be ok

Ok warr. You need to speack with the head guy at service, he decides at the end about warr being broke or not. My bud owns the mazda dealer here so thats how I know the rules. Ok, if I add exhaust and it breaks then it's my problem. but everything else on my car is under warr. now is when it gets fun, if your motor breaks and the service guy says that the motor broke B/C you added exhaust then it's not under warr. But everyone knows that that is not the case with exhaust. But when you alter the intake with an aftermarket kit it is easyer for the service guys to blame the intack for the falure in the motor, which cut's your warr out. before I mod anything on my 8 I had a good talk with the head of service and lucky for me he's into moding rx-8's and loves to see people working on them(not for the bad reason), so before any upgrade I ask him if it would be a big deal and he tells me weather im safe or playing with fire. Make it like the good old day when you actualy knew the guys name that was working on your car, you end up getting better service for it. YOU ARE NO LONGER A CUSTOMER BUT A PAL.

I will have to ask them that then. Can you post the link to the greddy you purchased? And where might I ask to have someone install it? I am not a car tech at all!

I purchased the Greddy from my local tuner shop. They gave me a good deal. O yhea I LOVE MY GREDDY!!!!!!! When I saw the 4 inch tips I was scared that it would be to loud. But no way man, it's perfect. On the interstate it sounds almost stock when you want it to and strong when you want it. The internet vids sounds nothing like the real thing.

I think my buddy Mugatu would agree that there is only one appropriate answer here:
