in-dash turbo on / off switch?
I've heard of someone making / installing some kind of switch that will allow you to bypass a turbo and run your car like its NA, but now I can't find it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I think it was used with a Greddy kit, maybe?
hmmm, why bother?
just don't mash the throttle, you'll not go into boost.
you can also setup your boost controller so it's on a low setting (6 psi) and tell it to move the wastegate slowly, so it takes a while to build up pressure.

I just thougth it was a cool idea...
Maybe I've been watching too much star trek :P
"Prepare to go to warp speed....ENGAGE!"
Speaking of boost controllers, does one exist that blends well with the interior? I hate cars with gagues and things sticking out of weird places, I like the sleeper look

Another good spot for an electronic boost controller is where the change holder is near your left knee. I haven't checked if it is a direct fit, but it seems like it should be able to squeeze in there.
This way, you can barely see it except when you want to.

I'm a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for Rockwell Automation and the last thing I wanted to do is come home from a long day at work, relax at the computer, and see that video

Sorry... back to the topic
that's where I have mine. the greddy profec II has a bright blue light though. Might be annoying for some when driving at night.
If you want a true exhaust system that would allow you to run n/a, completely bypassing the turbo, you'd ahve to build this yourself. You would basically just add a tee to the exhaust system after the exhaust manifold that runs to the turbo and then dumps back into the exhaust downstream anywhere. Right after this tee but before the exhaust merges again, you install an electric butterfly valve inline. When open, all of your exhaust gasses go straight past the turbo. When closed, all of your air goes through it. This would work but I don't see any point to it.
or do what rotarygod just said lol.
