It's so funny all of these exhaust systems and they all sound so much alike. It is hard to tell what the Greddy sounds like with the noise coming from the rollers on the dyno. I love the Borla and it has only gotten deeper and louder over the last 2 days.

Borla questions
It looks like I am getting a Borla exhaust for Christmas (woo hoo!) and just have a couple of questions. Thanks to those that help.
1) Best place to purchase the exhaust? I want to get a good deal, but I also want to work with someone who I can trust. There are no dealers in my area according to the Borla site, so I'll have to order it.
2) Average cost for installation? I'd like to do it myself, but I don't have the ability to get the car high enough off the ground and lack some tools.
Thanks again.

Borla.
Vivid has them for $499, about $125 less than I paid. From Vivid!
Put it on yourself! It is easy, just back up onto two ramps. The whole thing hangs from rubber figure 8s, all you need to do is 'lube-em-up' and pull the supports free, then a couple of bolts at the Cat, and a tremendous sense of accomplishment.
The Borla has a real nice resonance at about 3200 revs, a good place to change gear while in traffic. You can hear exactly the 'sweet spot'.

Try John at www.socalmotorsports.com . Got mine there, good people to deal with. And professional installation will run you about $60-$80.

$$60 to 80?? I got mine installed from Mazdatrix for $45. Don't know if they did a good job though. I think it's loose or something is loose. Don't know if its the exhaust or springs. Squeeking noses.

Borla Install & Squeeking Noise & Increase in Sound
Has anyone experience squeeking noises after their install or still quiet after install?? There is a squeeking noise but don't know if it's the springs or my new borla exhaust. Maybe the exhaust is loose or leaking air.
Also, has anyone experienced the borla getting louder?? Mine seem to be.
Any suggestions or comments??

Borla Exhaust Sounds Good
I recently installed Borla's cat-back exhaust and it sounds pretty good. I don't really notice the hp gain, but I'm new to the car. I've only driven it a dozen times.
I just ordered Green Filter part #2476 for the stock air box. i like the design of the stock air box and at this point ihave no plans of modifying it. No one's short ram system impresses me at this time.

I noticed some noises too, but not any squeaking. My noises come from around the cat (similar to a gurgling sound) but that could be from the extra air flow, I have no idea. I double checked mine, it's in there nice and tight, all the hangers are set properly as well. My Borla did get a little louder as it got seasoned, sounds really good still (read not obnoxious, nice a throaty ). I am quite pleased. BTW there is a HP increase at the top end, you can definitely feel it when you row through the gears.

I work for a performance shop, so i ordered it wholesale from Keystone Automotive. If you e-mail Green Filter, they'll give you a retailer in your area. The part #2476 is a new number and isn't posted on their site yet.

curious when the exhaust comes in
Hey, to those who have gotten their exhaust put in. When they delivered the exhaust to wherever how large was the box? can it fit in the car? im anxiously waiting for my borla, and im too curious to wait!

I had to take my Borla out of the box. The muffler and driver side tip fit in my trunk. I propped the rest of it up behind the passenger seat and drove it to the shop. There is not enough room to get the stock exhaust back in your car if you plan on keeping it though.
Great choice on the exhaust...I've had mine for about 500 miles now and I absolutely love it! The sound is whoop *** without being obnoxious.
