I wonder which 3 inch race pipe the resonator fits onto. I am looking to buy a used race pipe and slap a BHR resonator on it but due to different curvatures of different race pipes, I need to find out the length of the straight sections of the pipes (in addition to ID and OD).

There may video of the flames. I think Marc had his video camera rolling the entire time but his battery may have died as some point.

In response to the restrictive flow discussion regarding the BHR pipe; pre BHR pipe I had a stock pipe then a resonated pipe then a stock pipe again. I had no problem building boost at 2500 rpm with those but now I really have to get on it to build full boost. The BHR pipe is perfect and flows smoother. My flow response on the turbo is spot on now after having to adjust it according to the new pipe.

My turbo using BHR midpipe with CAT is quiet. But when you get on it sounds awesome. When you stand behind the car and hear it idling you definitely know the exhaust is different. Low and subtle tone. Love it

VERY tempted to ditch my Agency Power for this. I'm so tired of the "ricer rasp" that I get inbetween 4k and 5k rpms. It pretty much forces me to shift before 4k unless I want to go WOT. I really hate it.

I responded to your PM but you didn't mention a rasp in a specific RPM range so I will further clarify.

The Sound is in my opinion 100% consistant in all RPM's. It only get's louder based on engine load (I.E. 20% throttle vs 80% + throttle). It has a HINT of rasp but not a rasp that I personally would associate with other import car manufacturers. Based on reviews and my own experience with my setup I will bet you will notice this midpipe will deminish the undesirable sounds and bring out the desirable.

Remember this engine is technically not rice...it's more like sausage and beer!

Actually, there's this place called Stephan's Christmas Emporium (in St. Gior) and he sales the best flavored Brandy's (spelling) and Ice Wine's! My brother is a frequent customer (he's Air Force in Ramstein) and now so am I. He should have a picture of me and my girlfriend from when we last visited.

Awesome guy...He needs to buy an Rx8 with a BHR midpipe!

Good god this thread is huge. I've done my best to try and read alot but, sod it.

I simply want to know, whats the performance increases like on a NA '8? Although some have made a passing quote saying its a bit better mid range? Is there much in it? Is it significantly noticeable? Will it likely produce any real gains with a CAI and catback? . . . . . .

From my personal experience the gains may vary.
Stock catalyzer's condition, engine's shape, the will to tune the car afterwards all have an impact on the end result.
I've seen anything from 4 to 12hp gains so go figure...

Just look at the horsepower gains on this dyno sheet.

Disclaimer: This is not an actual dynograph from an engine with the BHR Coil Kit on it.
It is fictitious.

Oh man this is going to be awesome, hopefully its all out and ready by the time i decide to update my exhaust system. Been holding out till the spring for a BHR mid and RB tail, but I may have to swindle my vote to a BHR / BHR setup ... will you be offering an S2 setup as well? (different hangars)

Psshh who operates under acceptable sales figures anymore ... start thinking less like the days of old and start thinking more like Enron.

Lol but yea I figured you lucky S1 bastards would get a shot at it first. Then again, I could just buy your S1 package and tastefully mod it to fit the s2 .. who knows, one step at a time

Come onnnnn UPS man, bring me my xmas gift!

Although it's friggin' cold up here and I won't be able to install it until the spring

Maybe if I get the wife to blow really hard in one end of the midpipe I can hear what it'll sound like....
