It would probably be unnecessary, so I doubt they ever tested it

You might end up with a stealth rx8 that's quieter than a Prius

I think I remeber Charles saying it doesn't really change the sound any. I would imagine it would just make the pipe much more expensive and heavier.

You were in the test drive with mine. I'm closing in on 15,000 miles with the pipe on, and no drone or rasp here.

I mean same by volume (forgot to clarify)... I asked about drone but haven't gotten an answer. He'll find out on the way home. I'm hoping it relieved the muffler some so it isn't shoved into the heat shield anymore..

I think he said 2 of those resonaters that close together would cause the whole world to quit making sounds.

Long trips will be more tolerable now. I'm excited!

I am contemplating about welding one of the BHR resonators onto a cheap used 3" midpipe. For the price being offered on each item, it is quite a deal if I do the work myself.

Hopefully this question hasn't been answered already but what would be the advantage of getting the pipe polished? I assume it would help to counteract rusting over time? Any merit to that assumption or additional benefits?

If your car spends alot of time in the air with people under it and not driving it, then polishing the pipe will make them talk about the pipe a bit more.

I will be honest and say I am lazy and not going to read the whole thread for this. Has anyone in this thread fabricated their own resonated midpipe with a non-resonated midpipe with the BHR resonator?

I gotta say... I havent hit WOT yet because I'm waiting for my turbo tune from MM, but with around 40% throttle the BHR midpipe has not changed the sound of my catback at all... it still sounds the way it did before; which is why I bought the catback in the first place except it is a little bit louder now... extremely happy with the purchase and I can only expect it to still be great once I rock some WOT; from what I have been reading
