I got pulled over one night in my driveway. I made a left turn and apparently the officer had to wait for traffic giving me time to pull into my driveway and get out of my car. He comes tearing *** up behind my car, jumps out, looks like he's ready to start screaming... and then sees me. All I took away from his rant was "you're old enough to know better" I kinda wish he had given me the ticket

He did say i had cut of the oncoming traffic to make my left, I hadn't but he didn't think so.

True, I am only 35 but at our last meet we (grungepup and I) were sitting there for like 30 minutes and the cops never said **** to us. The minute tbk (like 21) pulled up and they swarmed him, telling him he had to leave, etc.

No you can not get impounded for illegal emissions mods. The ticket is not correctible per the Cal VC, it cost about $400 and the vehicle has to get fixed. However some judges/courts treat it as correctible (some not most). The vehicle will have to go to the state referee to be signed off but the officer can give you a ticket without any certification. If he is wrong and you know it, take pictures ASAP and go to the referee, have it inspected and again take pictures (time/date stamped) and show the shop too.

Even high flow cats dont smell the same as a stock cat. No cat is easy to detect with the nose. If you mod your car illegaly, you better do everything else legal on the road and be a nice friendly person to the Man.

 

Yeah it's bullshit. Being a white boy who loves Rap, R&B, etc. but wears a polo and khakis to work everyday I have always found it funny how people treat you and think of you. Then Growing up as the only white boy in Hawaii, it was funny because everyone looked at me as a "Haole" when I was a local (in my eyes)

 

i have my US army infantry sticker in my rear window, so even though im a 24 year old that looks 19 in my bright blue mazda, they pretty much give me the benifit of the doubt. i talked to a state cop about 3 years ago and he said he will useually give kids with college decals on their window just a warning too.
