I've given up on pursuing a re-manufactured engine. I've brought life back into my compression. And, Vyndictive has my old midpipe now, and I need stealth again.

What did you do to get compression back? What are your latest compression numbers?

Yesterday I ran my first NASA HPDE 1 session at Firebird Raceway! I was running the midpipe and had two people in my driving group say my RX8 sounded nothing short of awesome.

I was really glad to get some positive feedback. Some video was taken so if/when I get my hands on it I'll be sure to post it.

Within the next couple days we'll be removing the pipe from my car and testing it out on a couple other RX8's for sound evaluation. Stick around for more updates.

It sounded great inside the car. Not trying to jack the thread but anyone who say the RX8 is slow hasn't tried chasing one on the road course. Rotary FTW!

Please let this thing pass the 92dB @ 50ft rule (most tracks, ESPECIALLY those poor bastards at Lime Rock) with a catback system.

Passing with a Borla would be nice.

We'll be conducting sound tests when we arrive at a final product. I was told that people in the stands couldn't tell my car apart from others when I was passing them in a pack. Only when I was entering the straight by myself could anyone really hear the car.

I'm pretty sure it would meet the requirements.
