What conversation? I'm sorry all I see on this page is Jeff's avatar.

*sucks up the drool*

Oh right... ignition system... I think the reputation of this ignition kit and BHR have spoken for themselves by now. If anyone is unimpressed at this point in time, it's their loss.

sure...

(although it is completely relevant since you have chosen the route of making jeff a key part of the process to actually get the performance out of these coils that was promised to all the buyers... a process that we have just demonstrated gets voided when you dont stroke his ego)

Or when you patently take advantage of my good will.

Is there anyway we can stay on topic and stop the thread crapping like above?

Thx, Man. Have ya been putting a beating on the coils much? Actually, the condensed version of the history of problems is thus;

1) I shipped the kits with the plug wires attached to the coils. We discovered that the coil terminals on the plug wires were more fragile than I previously thought and people were breaking them (through no fault of their own). I have since replaced all the wires (at N/C, of course) that were broken during this period and I no longer ship the kits with the wires attached to the coils.
2) I did not used to terminate the ground wire so the end-user could determine how long it needed to be, terminate it themselves, and locate the ground in a decent spot. I now install the ground hoop, wrap it in the same self-vulcanizing tape I use for the P+P harnesses, and instruct the installer as to where a good ground spot is.
3) We have made slight adjustments to the brackets and baseplates to allow slightly better fitment and slightly easier installation.
4) The rest has been chronicled in that infamous thread.
Ah. I remember the "preconnected" wires. Although I never had issues with mine, the new wires' fitment did dress things up quite a bit. Not much of a beating on the coils from me, to be honest. I'm sure others have thrashed theirs much more. I still enjoy that stumble-free high revving, though. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Mine were already connected, I haven't had any problems with mine, I give them a pretty good throttling everyday, and it has caused any problems for me. I can't wait until I can get an AP and get even more out of them, and even if it's not more I'm still more than satisfied. Don't really see how you could screw up the install though, it's all there in black and white.

When you get the AP, you're in for a treat. That alone has made a difference in how the car feels/drives. (Alright, I'm stroking here) I think it'd be safe to say, that just with MM's basic tune, that alone is worth the price of the device...then he continues update over that...it's a bargain.

I guess if I was wanting to hear whining I would go back to kindergarden. I'd rather not hear it in the thread which discusses the awesomeness of the BHR ignition upgrade.

By the way, I hear that if every RX8 owner bought the BHR ignition upgrade it would bring about world peace.

Well, I've got it on my car and all it did was create whirled peas.

Is there a special attachment for that? My Kit only makes the engine run beautifully.

I need to make pea soup this weekend and if I could do it with my RX-8 that would be awesome.

I made my passenger pee a little at my last track event. Does that count?

Actually, I made one puke previously and it was a similar texture and color...

I am really pleased with my coils. Looks like a lot of effort went into the creation and packaging process. Great customer service btw. Maybe I'll get an AP this summer.

....and now we return to your regularly scheduled BHR fanboi programming....

Though I am not a customer of yours, publicly telling a customer to "f" himself (even if it's his doing though the story is incomplete) speaks volumes to us.

Sometimes, people just don't get along. It's called life.

Oh and r0tor, please stop bitching. Just PM him or make a thread about and locked so you can get banned Lance style.

Please, GTFO.

Anyway, I hope by fall I can atleast order the Ignition kit and AP... so I can get a 14+HP!!!!

(Probably 7hp )

The real question is, which came first?
