B&B exhaust too loud?
I'm considering B&B exhaust , but I can't stop considering other systems as well. For me, tips, sound, and reputation of the company that makes them are the most important assets because I don't expect that much hp gain from just an exhaust anyways.
Personally, B&B , HKS, and Hymee tips interest me the most.
Racing Beat has a great reputation rotary cars , but the lips look little thick.. So does Greddy.......
But I hear B&B is little bit loud,,
does anyone have B&B installed and have to plug theirs ears while they're driving?
Does it bother in everyday driving?

I've got the B&B and it sounds great. What some people think is "too ricey" may not seem so to you. I could have bought any exhaust I wanted, but chose B&B because it produced the sound I prefered. Go with what you like, not just other people's preferences. You may get one exhaust and decide you don't like it and then switch to another. It's trial and error.

I live here in the Phoenix area and have got together with Huff from Vivid and his TG RX-8 on several occasions. Under WOT, his B&B sounds great and not any louder than my Gen 3 with a Racing Beat dual tip. Under normal driving conditions I'd rate his car as slightly louder than stock.

I had the BB catback on by itself, and with the midpipe. With the midpipe it's very loud.
Catback by itself sounds good.
I have to say also that the piece is very high quality, and it produces power you can feel.
Overall it is a great exhaust system, just a little to loud for me.

I just put the B&B on this weekend and let me tell you its not loud at all. I was really worried about the noise after reading some peoples opinions on exhaust noise. I'm not sure what kind of experience you have with aftermarket exhausts on other vehicles, but for me coming from SC'd V-8 with full exhaust this thing is still quiet.
From a performance standpoint I was really surprised to feel an improvement. I was mainly doing the exhaust for sound, but was surprised to actually feel some improvement. Who knows I might actually replace the midpipe now that I know that its not that loud.

I have the B&B and I love it. I don't know where the reputation that this exhaust sounds ricey came from but I certainly don't agree with that. My friend has a borla on his 8 and they sound very similar maybe just a little bit different in their tone. The Borla being a little deeper and more mellow and the B&B being a little higher pitched and more angry sounding. To be honest I've heared quite a few of the catback systems available for the 8 and they all have a fairly similar sound t them which is because the rotary engine makes a very distinctive sound. You will never get this engine to sound like a smallblock Chevy and on the plus side unless you take off the cat and the resonator it should never sound like a Honda Civic with a trashcan muffler either. Just make sure that you get a high quality system with good fit and finish and I'm sure you will be happy. And by the way both the Borla and the B&B fit perfect and are of made of extremely high quality materials. Good Luck!

Well, I guess my opinion would be biased but I do like the sound of the B&B and the difference in power is a noticeable one. Either way, like others have said, choose wisely and make your descion. In most cases the exhaust you get will seem loud because your used to the stock sound that's pretty subdued for a rotory.
