I have had the SS for a week (purchased through Hymee here in Oz)

I have the exact same noise as Blazed. Noise is more pronounced changing 1st to 2nd gear - less noise 2nd to 3rd gear - and hardly noticeable 3rd to 4th. For me the noise was definitely not there with OEM shifter so I am sure it is related in some way to the SS.

I use Redline MT90 in the gearbox and it is now due to be changed out for fresh. I will have that done early next week to see if that makes a difference.
Have you spoken to Mark (Hymee) about this?
I guess you guys are a long way from each other (isn't everyone in OZ)?
So no chance he has heard it? I'm sure Hymee knows if there are any other users near you whom you might compare.
There's always Gomez, he has put alot of them in (he wrote the DIY) but doesn't hang out on the forum any longer.

Will do - and thanks for posting the video. I have been searching the SS threads for a fix and the sounds referred to didn't seem to quite match this one.

I haven't contacted Mark yet - I will probably send him an email next week. And yes, He is a good 1000km from me so not a case of dropping in on him after work

RX8 Nationals are on next week and I am sure cars will be there with the SS so I will be able to compare then.
