A'PEXi PS Revolution Exhaust
Does anyone have this? Does anyone know of a .com dealer for it? 
Pros? Cons? Thoughts? I'm dying for actual installed pics! It seems it's been out for maybe a year or so for the RX-8 but there doesn't seem to be a lot of commotion on here about it.

Seems to me that even at full throttle it would still be a big clunk of crap in the way of the airflow... and hence cause some major restriction. Then again, i've never seen one of these in action, so i can't say for sure.

weird i was explaining to fred my idea for something like this 2 years ago. a sort of a trombone device to tune the exhaust note or volume and power. i never got pass the idea stage...

i believe the new z06 has some sort of device like that in its exhaust system.... please hold while i google......

Bump - Update. I just saw a reference for this thing. Sounds interesting if it's reliable over time. Does anybody have this muffler yet? At first I thought it looked like just another tornado device... but this is by A'PEXi. For $1,000 US, it had better be pretty good.

Look up "cvec tuned exhaust"
A 2 stroke's exhaust is important because the exhaust setup determins the amount of torque based on back pressure. Inside the CVEC exhaust is a cone shaped metal wall that blocks the exhaust a bit. It's on a spring. As you give the car more throttle, the cone is pushed back, in effect giving you a larger exhaust system. So you get more torque in the low rpms, and more power up high as the exhaust expands.

I have some news for the power and ear entusiast with my middle system which contains of a Swedish made Ferrita race 100 bit race cathalyst and 2.5" front silencer. Also a single rear muffler 2.5" with double 2.5" rear exhausts ending in 2 3.5" "Gold tip" rear tip ends. The sound is deep chrisp tone more like a potent 4-cylinder engine but also with the unique sound of a rotary engine. The both exhaust system made a solid 10 hp on my RotoTest hub dyno. I am about to sell these 2 system in Usa this winter but unfortanately i have no distributor in Usa. Want to sell Swedish made Swedish quality exhahaust system please contact me via PM! The system is made of highest stainless steel and should last the entire cars life! In the near future i will be testing a racing header for the RX-8.
