Apexi AFC NEO SAFC

I'm thinking on buying the Apexi AFC NEO SAFC for my 8. Any suggestions about this product? will it work? What I need to know first?

Same here. Like the new product, its interface, and its capabilities. The price is so-so, but I would really like to know whether it will actually work or not....
Anyone has any experience with vII that would like to share ?

Plus, why everyone keeps saying that it's not compatible with the 8 ? Due to the MAF ?

And why RG keeps calling it a piece of **** ? I've seen a lot of tuned cars run with a SAFC with no problems....

Thanks man. I went into the japanese Apexi site, but of course could not understand a thing I sent an email to the contact email addresses mentioned in the Q&A section inquiring about the compatibility of the Neo with the RX8, but I guess I will receive the answer you already provided. But we might find out the "Why"....

I am now searching about the possibilities of the eManage Blue for a N/A tune of my 8....

If you're looking for sub-computer for N/A RX8, new HKS F-Con iS can be the choice
But one of my buddy did not get good result from it ( a AT one)

Because it is one. It does 16 fuel points and you alter them piggyback style. You can not adjust timing at all and the factory ecu will try to compensate for everything you did adjust and you'll be back at square one. Too many people like adding multiple piggyback devices though. I've seen lots of cars with them too but nothing I'd consider special.

I know the cost is in Australian dollars but to pay $380 for a product and then pay $100 for shipping (within Australia) is ludicrous when you'll only be replacing it in a short amount of time anyways.

You get what you pay for.

Alrighty then, seems like I'm out of luck anyway on the SAFC thing, because apparently it doesn't like the RX8's ECU much...so.....
A friend of mine has the Blue and Ultimate, and a latest version CZ unit as well. He has ordered the Int-X for his turbo setup, so he might let me play around with the CZ and the Ultimate in my 4port 8. He won't give me the Blue, because he says "I prefer to nail it to the wall instead"
A guy mentioned the HKS unit as a possible option. Any ideas which might be the best fit for the 4port (it is humanly impossible to setup and test all of these units) ? I can test the Ultimate and the CZ for free (and if I like one, I'll buy it), but for the HKS I will have to buy it first....

I just installed the neo on my 8, it took some work trying to figure it out but i can send you the schematics and the steps I used. Should only take about an hour to get running. Its not that it does not work there are just no instructions for the 8. PM me for the stuff

Isn't Apexi about to go out of business ? I heard they were on life support & this was like 2 years ago.
