anyone know if a K&N CAI if worth it??

It's worth it if you like the sound.

Losing one or two horses isn't "losing horsepower". You wouldn't be able to tell the difference, just as you wouldn't be able to if you "gained" one or two HP from an AEM or MS. Intakes are a lot like exhaust systems. Some are technically better than others, but by such a small degree that you just want the one that sounds best to you. Though keeping the engine as cool as possible is always something to strive for, it's really not something to worry about unless you're an autocrosser.

I installed my 2nd gen K&N last week, and the sound is extremely satisfying. Driving normally, I can't even hear it, but when I jump on the throttle it screams.

Glad to hear you got it installed! Enjoy that sound, I miss it every single day.
