Engine Size 1.3 liters / 80 cu. in.
Horsepower 238 @ 8500 rpm
Torque (lb-ft) 159 @ 5500 rpm

Im trying to beat the stock 350z...without turbo, straight line

-Cold air intake
-high flow cat midpipe
-Exhaust system
-power pulleys

any more suggestions!?!?

 

Supercharger

 

coilovers and go around lots of corners.

...or a head start?

 

Do a downhill touge race?

Drive in the snow? Actually, I don't know how well the 350z would handle in the snow. I would guess it's power would be a liability

Toss out all the extra weight in your car?

 

if you are going straight, forget about it..just ask him to keep the 3rd gear, no more......ask him to go twist road, he will leave you, but not that far i believe..

Think hard. If you have read anything on these forums, then you should come away with this. The Renesis NA will not create more power than the VQ. The RX-8 is not that much lighter than the 350z where N/A mods will make it faster in a straight line. The RX-8 is easier to drive through corners, and handles better, but that advantage only comes out if you can drive well.

By the total of the above statements, you don't got a chance in hell unless you a driving a track full of turns.. Would it be possible to beat the 350z if their driver wasn't very good? Sure. But as for physical mods, you need the turbo, the supercharger, or the NOS.

I thought I heard that the 370z has much better handling, so maybe that wont work with that model.

 

All I got from this thread is to sell my rx8 and buy a 350z.........

You can beat a stock sentra ser spec-v.

 

to be honest , rx8 stock cant beat 350z stock in a straight line...no matter what u do...unless the driver is hella crappy
we're not asking u to sell ur rx8 ...its a awesome driver's car...but if ur in for power , should had bought a mustang....
