Lol now that you said that Team and moved to my neck of the woods im now going to probe your mind with all of this information you have as I am a very curious young(er) person . Yes this includes some AutoX questions too...

To make it fair I suppose I could help you Mod (? was that it, I forget) your trailer lol, in exchange I get to probe your mind at why Im getting horrible mpg despite having a fresh reman (which is probably it) w/ all my mods and I cant seem to break 16-17mpg...

like Eric and Team has said the LIM can use some work. There is a lot of castings marks etc that can be smoothed out. I removed the jet air from mine and port matched the runners (although they are pretty dang close from the factory).
I still believe the VDI area is trouble and I have permanently sealed mine. That lets you do a LOT of smoothing and expanding inside the entry lim barrel where the airflow splits to the different runners.
All this allows the intake to flow better at lower rpm, which is my goal.
Eric I really like that dyno between 6.5 and 8K!!

Cam at Pettit Racing has a semi direct injected non turbo rx7 engine that has 400+ hp

Word. I like things like that. How hard is it to get inside of it? I'd probably just dremel it out.

To remove the LIM you can either drop the engine or start cussing at every known saint by just moving it while still being in the car but off of the motor mounts :p

Don't remember that one either bro. We are not allowed to touch the ports in our racing series so never played around with the LIM. Measure, measure, measure would confirm this.

No,No-- Eric I never said you have ever(or will) do this kind of stuff to one of your compitition cars. If I have ever known anyone that plays by the rules--its you. Thanks for the opportunity to clear that up--when I re read my post I can see how that COULD have been interpreted the wrong way. Sorry.

Eric said to take the LIM apart and rebuilt it, make sure its clean and is working properly per oem specs. I am the one that took that further.

When you take the lim apart you will see the casting marks and the other stuff clearly visable and since us street guys do not have rules that we must live by it is just common sense to clean them up. Some intakes have more casting marks than others for some reason. I have seen that is just the 5 intakes I have taken apart. The factory port matching is almost perfect as I stated before. But there again little things do add up.
