Still nada? Contemplating giving up on them at this point. I really wanted to have this installed before Memorial Weekend and at this point it is starting to appear that it's getting unreasonable to expect that.

I'm in the same boat; if it doesnt come out by the end of April, I will either find a mazsport or AP to satify me...

RB better be reading this thread, they might be losing some buyers

due to my recent misfortune trying to buy the mazsport pipe, i would like to bring up the point of fitment on automatics. the mazsport pipe would not fit due to spacial issues with the AT tranny. apparently, one or more were modified to fit. im sure there are several of us who would require this

RB is modifying the presilencers to accommodate the other fitment issues regarding the chassis brace so I'm sure they will address this as well for the AT's. I will ask for sure though.

yeah but how many times did they keep pushing up the date on the header? they want a high quality product, just like their other stuff, so to me their timelines are more or less wishful thinking

I emailed Jim again, I will post a response as soon as I get it.

ARGH!!!!!

You know it's good that you're trying Jon but this is kinda ridiculous. I don't need a firm date. I know how the AM parts industry works and how pushing out something like this isn't nearly as simple as it sounds.

But they said they'd have it in February. Then they said they couldn't get to it so it was moved off to late February or March.

Then silence.

**** that. I can take communication telling me that they had to move the date back. But silence? I'm getting a midpipe this month. If they want my money tell them to push theirs out. They have a unique opportunity to put out a 'new' product that is essentially already proven tech and they can do it against a market that is seriously demanding something that removes the Cat flow restriction while not being an obvious emission violation.

They've got a month before this market is gone. If they realize that they'll at leas t drop in here. If not then C'est la vie.

With the announcement of the BHR mid-pipe, RB might be too late.

Well, there are plenty of mid-pipes and race pipes out there... it just seems that its been really hard for a company to really get it right with eliminating the raspiness and having a tolerable level of noise+added smell.

There is no guarantee that the racing beat mid pipe would sound any better than the other dual res. pipes out there... same with BHR.

im confident that racing beat doesnt give a **** about your money.

racing beat is gonna come out with the BEST MF PRODUCT POSSIBLE. if it takes them another 6 months to make the BEST PRODUCT POSSIBLE, then thats when it will come out. they will not compromise quality for anything, even if it means losing X amount of sales due to impatient people.

My problem is that they have stopped providing updates to this product. If they want to come out and tell us that they are spending more time to perfect the product and have moved the expected launch time to May or June then that's fine. I can then make an informed decision on whether to wait and not have this performance gain for multiple track/autox events or to get a racing pipe already on the market.

I can't make that decision since I have no idea if this is on temporary hiatus or if they're cancelling the entire project. And in their last update it was clear that they didn't expect to need a lot of time to make a product good enough for the RB name - they were putting it on hold because they had other projects that superceded it. You don't really think there's some dude sitting there building prototype after prototype the last few months trying to 'perfect' a small production scale midpipe, do you?

Calling that impatient is ridiculous. And they obviously do care about money or they wouldn't be making this.

i very much doubt there will be any cancellation going on. you make valid points, though i wasnt specifically targeting you or calling you impatient. i was just bringing up the point that midpipe revenue is not the most important thing to RB

You need to be realistic here. RB will release the product when are ready. They are not going to rush anything to market to appease a small market. A bad product will have a lasting negative impact more so than a solid product.

That's all fine and dandy but that isn't the problem.

The problem is they have stopped informing us about the product or any possible expected release date.

It's pointless to wait on this if it's never going to happen.

Actually the problem is yours. You believe they owe you or this community updates. That is not how it works. The product you want is under R&D and timelines are moving targets.
