Who's going to Rev-It-Up in Atlanta?
This is being held May 17th & 18th, with the Mazda VIP day on Friday the 16th.
I confirmed with my dealer he signed me up for Friday. This will be my first opportunity to see & feel the RX-8 -- and expect it to be everything I had hoped.
Who else will be there?

I don't know if I will go. MazdaUSA said they can't confirm if a RX-8 will even be there or not. Hennessy said I would be able to drive and race one. Dealers will tell you anything they think you want to hear. I saw it at the Atlanta Car Show and was allowed to get in it a couple of times, so I am not as anxious to "maybe" see one. rxeightr - when you go on the 16th, will you please post if one is there?!

I am signed up for the 1:00 PM group on the 18th. I sure hope that the 8 will be there! I missed it at the AJC Auto Show. Let me know if any of you will be there.

Just got back from the Atlanta Rev It Up. They have 2 there, red and blue. The Mazda people said they are pre-production so aren't exactly what we will see in our cars. They are beautiful! I thought the blue would be to brigth for me but I was wrong; the color is fantastic and fits the car well. The red was delicious! The "mica" made the red glitter at some angles. They let me sit in it, adjust the seat and steering wheel (a big concern for me since I am short) and they cranked it up so that I could hear it (they rev'd it to about 5k). I had never hear a Wankel before and was surprised at the smoothness. I got to play around shifting, pressing the clutch, adjusting mirrors and pushing all the buttons. I forgot to turn on the radio to hear the bose system, I was to excited that I could reach the clutch.
Besides that, the event was a blast. Good luck at the race and don't be afraid to keep the pedal floored.

Wow! That is great! Thanks for giving me a heads up Pam. I can hardly wait now. Did you mention to them that you were a member of the RX-8 Forum?

I didn't mention the Forum. The event closed at 5pm and I got there at 4:45! Bad decision to try to drive through Atlanta on a Friday afternoon and I was ready to wreck a car by the time I got down there. But there were only 3 others left by that time so we had the place to ourselves. They said they will move 700 people through the event each day this weekend!
On the way back home I stopped at a Mazda dealer in Roswell and got the brochure. All the dealers should have them.
I hope you have a great time tomorrow!
