who all is from NC here
Bobby is correct, I'll be doing the lap battle. And yes I'll be in my car, I figured since I'll have the suspension setup and exhaust and the weight reduction, why not try. Also, I'm really not to worried about my tires since, I'll only be doing two events plus I can get a new set for 500 bucks! But I am saving up for some Hoosier slicks and a MoTeC ECU. Trying to get everything setup for my Pettit SC purchase next year!
Hey guys,
'04 Lightning Yellow in Holly Springs (town SW of Raleigh). I thought I'd stop my lurking and actually post something.
I also thought I had the only Lightning Yellow in the Raleigh area... but then I saw another one at the CrossRoads theater in Cary.
She's completely stock for now, but I'd like to put a grill on the openings in the front. Have any of you guys done that? I've been looking at the DIY: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-oil-cooler-opening-mesh-grille-replacement-8147/
I also want to replace the stock shift **** with something more rounded. Is there anywhere in the area that would have a good selection of those in stock that I could touch (or at least look at in person)?
I've got lots of stuff going on, so I'm not interested in meeting up... but y'all enjoy
Thanks,
Akri

Click
You guys from Fayetteville, your best route is going to be 40->440->70(glenwood ave)->50(creedmore rd)->cruise->right(beaverdam area of falls lake). I posted something similar a while back, but we didn't have a confirmed location at the time.

If they want to start by 1, I'd say we need to hit the road no later then noon. I live off Ramsey, pretty close to 295, if you guys want to meet somewhere over here, unless you can think of something better...
It doesn't get any better.
Once you get to the spot it's hard to get lost. Just sniff for the exhaust fumes haha.
I gave you guys all the tools you needed to make directions to the gate if you need them... the gate being the 'anchor for directions' on the map I created... and you've got Matt. Inside the gate it's all of 2 roads and we're all in the same boat at that point. We will not know where we are going past the gate until 1pm on Sunday

I have the location loaded into the navi. It looks like it will take approx. 1.5 hours or so to get there, depending on traffic. So we should probably leave around 1130 or so. Just let me know where you want to meet and I'll be there. Are you guys going to the meet on Saturday too or just the cookout? I'll be headed to both so I can bring you to both places if you want.
Ok, I am bringing the veggie dogs and a cake. Should we all just meet at the Eckerd there on Ramsey notears mentioned before? Maybe we can convience the other 8 owner there to ditch work and tag along, hee hee.. The guys on the 7 forum mentioned getting there around 12 and lighting up the BBQ around 1 so I would say we meet up around 11-11:30. Is that location good for everyone?
Here's the current list of who's bringing what
