Is it time for a Homecoming? Panoz @ Rd Atlanta 12/6

Got to thinking which is sometimes not a good thing and the wife really hates it, but i remember a couple of years ago when we all 1st started talking on the forum and we got together and did the Panoz event at RA. Since that time a lot has happened we have spent a fair amount of money, have more miles on the car, have attended numerous class's and now we are about 10 secs faster!
Is it time for a "Homecoming" of sorts? We all meet for a one day Panoz event Ra (12/6) and invade the school! One day events let you have enough afterward to have a "social" meeting afterward etc.
What is everyones thoughts? Nasa is kinda down this winter and this gives us a little "fix" til the season restarts.

Ummmmm, do you not remember the freezing rain and the cold as hell winds that that day? I'd like to do a homecoming, but not sure about that time of year......

After all of my events and issues after Roebling, I think i better lay low until next season. Or the wife might try to kill me in my sleep. I would like to do a Panoz event one of these days, they seem like a really well run group, with less cars than NASA at RA. Maybe I can talk her into letting me do it for Christmas. I guess it will depend on what the weather looks like the week or so before. But that can always change without notice, as you guys found out two years ago.

I think you have a great idea Denny. You know I am down for it and it looks like I'll bring both cars this time. We have'nt had a good shop gathering in way too long. Come on Travis, get back on the horse! Your problems should all be handled by now and they should have refunded you some money too for mis diagnosing your car.

Hey chas,

Yes, the car is running good again. It still has a broken nose, which I will fix when I get back from vacation. I am getting a refund from JE for their mis diagnosis, but am not gonna press my luck with getting refunded the money I spent for you to find the real problem. they fixed a couple other things, that they did not have to, and so I figure I came out on top in the end.

It would be nice to get back on the horse, we ill have to see.

o you have it so hard rxeightr--let me know if you want some inside scoop on the island where de rum comes from. I lived there for 3 1/2 yrs. 1sr drove a ford cortina, mg mk2000, lotus eland and the real mini cooper s while i was in heaven!
We are due for a re gathering guys--come on. It will be much less expensive because it is a 1 day event and wouldnt it be great if we had 8 or so 8's on the track together and it was mostly us? They may even cut us a deal.

I think a one day should be a Sunday because you get more track time. As far as Dec goes, I'd rather do March myself but I will be there no matter when we do it. I just may not be driving in Dec. since I'm doing Barber mid Nov.

Yea Sunday would be great and that way we could meet at Chas--not interrup his business and have photo shoot and good ole party on Saturday. I bet we can get 10 or more cars--remember how we lined the cars up at RA one time in a semi circle? This time larger semi circle with the grass roots ez up etc--send a shot to Grassroots. It would be great to see our little group in the Magazine-maybe with a very small write up.
dont let this die guys --come on--you know you want too!

I am already signed up for VIR this same weekend. I have heard that VIR is even better than Barber and Road Atlanta.

it woudl have to be a Saturday event. Because, IIRC, they do not run Group C on Sunday, and if you have never done a Panoz event...me...then you have to run group C. The rest of you have run Group C already.

6 sessions on Sunday, 4 on Saturday! For the money, I think it should to be a Sunday. L8, if you run on Saturday we can all root you on and then you can run on Sunday with us. See, it will all work out.

would like to have all the "oldtimers" there-- for the party and at least for the photo shoot. Granted Panoz is not NASA but ANY tracktime is good! 6 sessions on sunday WITH riders is only 2 sessions less than a 2 day nasa event. I like the idea of taking riders for a change--it would be a blast to have some guys and family in there with me.
Dont let this die----Panoz--Panoz---panoz--!!!!!!

OD, How about March 4 or May 5? I don't know what the NASA schedule is or if it is a conflict.
