I check my oil quite often, and have noticed a sludge-like residue on the dip stick when I pull it out... Car is running fine and dandy (altho, I just broke 32k and haven't brought it in yet for the 30k check up) and was curious if anyone else has gotten this build-up on their oil pan... Any kinda info would be a huge help!

Hey Sam... I had read about this too but had never noticed it before. I noticed it one morning when it was really cold and I was checking the oil. Apparently it happens more in cold weather. It's nothing to worry about but it does make it kinda hard to read the dipstick!

 

Yeah, I read a few other posts about it... Got a little worried but looks like its nothing to be scared of...
