Just got in from my weekend at Road Atlanta with the SuperBikes! Man what a set-up for the Petit. I'm pumped! Only a month to go.

What!
I was soooo looking forward to it. Well, maybe our Mazda will have a chance for the short term since the restrictions were relaxed.

that will be a big let down, since most of the publications have been reporting that it was to debut at Road Atlanta. I was really looking forward to seeing it. Fingers are crossed.

We can set up on Friday PM so I think my brothers and I will go over and set up an area with a cover (10x12?) to relax and get out of the sun and have a cold bear. It's going to be a LONG day so anyone wanting to bring food/drinks would be a good Idea. We will be going over first thing Saturday, about 7:30, hopefully and will make sure we have our area secured. A small plot of land will be a premium for this event. I don't know where we will set up because the place is going be REAL crowded. This is going to be one of those play it by ear situations. I suggest bringing a folding chair, drinks, sunscreen, ear plugs (a must). I cannot emphasize the earplugs enough; we are talking some serious decibels here. The kinds that make you feel like you ears are going to explode.

For those of you that have not seen/heard the P1's and P2's run, I promise, you will be amazed. However, the Audi's usually the meanest of the bunch, will sneak up on you and be gone in a quiet flash of white and reflective color. DAMN, I can't wait!

i am really looking forward to it. I watched the F1 race in Belgium this a.m., and it made me want to go to this even more. Road racing is just too cool. I guess we will just have to coordinate Late Friday after you have set up a spot to camp out. I am all for getting there when the gates open, so maybe I will meet up with you guys Saturday morning.

Pam, good to here you are coming for sure. I will not know what time Friday evening we will be setting up because I don't know what time my bro's will be showing up from South GA. I'll post when I know something.

Count me in (and my wife, Corynn, as well). I assume it is a good idea to go ahead and order the infield tickets now instead of waiting...right?? I plan on heading up there Sat. morning also, so Throads, if you and anyone else want to meet and cruise up there together bright and early, just let me know.

I would order your tickets now. Make sure you get them in time. I am always up for a good caravan ride. What part of town are you coming from? I am in Norcross, and will head up I85-North. Probably leave my place at 6:30 a.m.

1oa is a good corner, or maybe where we can see the esses and 5.

That is early! I am acutally heading up from Mid-town Atlanta, so I can meet up right off I-85 if you know a good spot. Anyone else interested in cruising up there together? I know a couple of you are a bit closer to Mid-town, so perhaps we could mee up first, then stop and meet Throads on the way. Thoughts?

On another note-I have not yet had the pleasure to park infield at any race of any kind. Will I need to purchase 2 infield tickets for the wife and I, or will 1 infield pass (the $25 option) get us both? (Keep in mind, I'm a new-b).

I think I'll give the track a call and see what's available this year. I like Nabil’s idea but I don't know if there will be an area left by the time I can get there with the canopy. If someone could get there early Friday and stand guard with an uzi or something we might be able to get a space. Hey Pam, were you getting there early Friday or was it going to be later?

So, what is the earliest time someone will get there? I'm looking no earlier than 6:30 PM Friday. If someone can get there and put up some kind of perimeter for a canopy approx. 10x12 I will gladly give you an atta-boy (or girl) and a cold beer!

One pass per car. It's getting late enough, you may find you will have to go to will call to get your tickets. I'm not sure when the cut-off is.

i think the infield parking pas is per car. I am getting mine at the gate, since i was an idiot and forgot to add it to my ticket.

I'm not sure what time I'll get there Friday but, it won't be too early unless absolutely necessary, I work late the night before. Would love to be in the same spot that we had with the motel. I bet that is a prime location though and will be gone by Thursday. Let me know if I can help, I could meet you earlier in the week to get the cover or what ever.

I would meet you if I had it. My brother is bringing it up from S. GA and he will not be here until 4-6 PM on Friday. If someone else has one we could set up that would be awesome! I should be there around the 6-7 PM time frame.

NOT LONG NOW! Some of the best racing in America in our back yard this coming weekend! Yaaaahooooo! Bring it on!

It's taken me 3 weeks to complete my website for the Superbikes. I just uploaded the last images moments ago. I gotta quit taking so many photos. I was so proud to get it finished and my wife said, "And you will start it all over again next weekend!" This taking photos has become a full time job after I do my full time job! I think I will be more selective at the Petit. (yea, right!)

5 Days!

Silver, look at your calendar, today is the 19th, that means that we have 11 days. A little premature celebration huh.
