Thanks L8, OnRails and & TA. I'm tired of looking at pics and web pages for a while and my wife is tired of me working on it till 1:00AM. I'm ready to drive for a change and let someone else take pics. Less than two weeks till ALSCCA Solo School and 4 weeks to RA. I change my brake pads this week and then I have to start watching how I drive. The closer to an event the worse my gas mileage gets. L8, don't tell me you don't know what I'm talking about!

TA2, after looking at images of your car, I think you need an aftermarket nose on your car to get it lower to to the track or maybe just a lip. Have you thought about that?

 

I have thought about the lip, naturally about 12 vendors make one.. I just have other priorities but I think I might get it this year. Actually, I should have a few more goodies installed for RA..

 

Other goodies, do tell.

 

So far I ordered some seats, a Steeda shifter, and a better setup for my brake cooling ducts.

 

SEATS.......no more benches......

 

What seats did you get? Harnesses too?

OK, without me going back and trying to find it....what happened to the 8 with the NC tags????

 

haha, that is Rob. The tag was already messed up, but the tire imprints on the ***, and the bend in the door was from his first off of the weekend, going into turn 11, I am not sure exactly what happened, I think he was on very cold, used race tires from the Grand AM car, and coming out of the kink, he got a little squirrely, and ended up taking out the #2 brake marker with the drivers door, and bumped the tire wall with the tail end, not really hard, I think it is mostly the dry paint from the tires rubbing off. He in that same off tore a piece out of the passenger side fender well. he had a little trouble with the turn 11 area, I worked turn 11 on Sunday, and he went off 3 times, once before turn 11, right behind TA2(aka TG) and twice after while on his way to turn 12.

Late Sunday, I gave him his souvenir, the #2 brake marker, the lady that works 11 saved it for him, and I figure, he paid for it, he ought to have it. Those brake markers are very thick PVC or some type of plastic, they are very rigid, and I would not want to hit one. Ask Kurt, he has bought one too.

yep, he bought his at the Mustang Club event IIRC. But he did not get a big dent, I wonder if they changed what they are made of. That thing was sturdy, I was surprised it did not do more damage than it did.
