sure, I would be up for the Red Roof, get one more person, and I will sleep on an air matress, to cut cost down. I will be singed up after tonight, once I get home and pay for it.

Put me down as a roomie as well please! I will be driving Roebling. I can't do Panoz as I have an out of town guest that weekend.

I would hit the rev limiter in 4th before the braking zone on Monday at 9500 rpm. That scared the **** out of me the first time.

sounds like it is me, you and phlash, who wants to make the reservation at the Red Roof? Let me know, I can take care of it if needed.

You guys have a great time. I won't be able to make this one. We're on a vacation starting that Saturday. Kelly's turning 30.

yeah, I did not realize that I could not use one weekend of worker credit, and pay for the other half of the entry fee. So I am just going to pay for it. It is worth it to me. I need to get some track.

Actually, it is best to work your way up to speed. the car doesn't go from being under control to out of control abruptly. So, if you increase your top speed each session or lap by 1 or 2 mph you will gradually approach the point things start getting uncomfortable for you. The JIC Silvia had to be hitting over 160 on the back straight and he was a heavily modded street car. With your suspension and brakes, I think you can easily crest the hill at turn 9 at over 140 and have lots of room for braking. One difference may be that 9 becomes more of a turn at that speed though so you have to pick a turn in point and late apex it to keep drivers right to be set up properly for 10a. At the RX8 speed, we just draw a straight line from the bridge at turn 8 on the left side of the track to the right side of the track at turn 9. You would keep left and treat 9 like a real turn.
That is funny, the problem is me - not my car. Since the car still feels stable at 130+ and my car still has more power to get me to 160 if I want. I think my problem was, I started to think about braking for turn 10 early and lift!
I was hitting turn 9 at 140mph and that Silvia was still passing me like I was going backwards! Ask Lego - he was in the car with me. That car was flying! I guess we must respect the Nissans

After an extended conversation with Charlie, I've decided to run the Panoz event with him Sep 17. There are a lot of things I want to work on learning and RA with Chaz is a perfect combination. I will miss the gang but there will be more opportunities.

I don't see why not. Roebling charges a gate fee of $5 which is good for the whole weekend. And of course, the GA RX8 Club are a friendly bunch except for Olddragger. He is old and grouchy

rddragoness, welcome to tracking! One warning... this "game" is addicting and one weekend watching this will be enough to make you want to try it. Once you try it, you WILL be addicted to Track!

And if you are lucky and they have Track Touring at lunch time, then you can get that beautiful Copper Red Shinka on the track for yorself and play around at manageable speeds. Trust me... you will be hooked!

L8... you gotta get some pics of this Copper. I love that color.

Yeah ... but he mellows if you give him some Scotch and he puts on his "coupon pants."

I'm sorry that I won't be able to make this one. But, I plan to do the Seat Time event at Roebling on Sept. 22nd instead. The good thing is that I will probably get more track time than you'll get all weekend, and it costs a lot less. Anyone care to join me?

I believe the Seat-Time event for Roebling is Sept 29th not the 22nd, the day before NASA's event at Roebling.

I wish I could, but taking off as much time as I am for NASA is already going to hurt. Anymore would be hard to recover from. The bosses at work still don't know I am going, , oh well, can't work all the time.

rddragoness, we would be glad to have you come out and watch, but be careful, you will want to join at some point, and it is addicting. our resident track dealer is good at giving free track for the first hit...

Silver, i will try to get a couple pictures of the copper red, I will not have the good camera, as it has already been returned to it's rightful owner.
