I'll have my easy-up for us to put stuff under and tie our new banner. Wonder if I can get in Friday evening to secure us a spot for 14+ cars? Who is in with NASA enough to call and see if we can secure a spot. With this many participants I think we qualify for a stregic location up front. Phlash... can you help us? TA... how about you?

On another note, Val, you might want to check the little red cap that covered the little air inlet under the throttle body, that was exposed after the installation of the REVi. Mazda is telling me that a misfire will blow that cap off, cuasing the car to run lean, and throw a CEL. That is what they are telling me, and my little red cap was found wedged somewhere in the engine bay, not where it was supposed to be.

we all do, the Bose system in the car

You won't get bored, if you are not in class, you are out watching the other cars. Some pretty nice cars show up to RA.

Alright, here is my Track Prep list. It is a combination of the one I had, and TA's. Use it, add to it, do what you like. I probably will still forget something. I usually do.

Taking out the rear seats? I dont like exposing the gas tank stuff. Guess you would save about 40lbs but I just plan on making sure I have a skinney instructor!
Ok I will let the cat out of the bag.
Hear Ye , Hear ye--let It be known that with the Kings permission(wife) I have obtained and plan on using the following at Road Atlanta.
In my posession I have asick set of Enkei rpo 2 wheels 17x8 --- that is right 17x8 wheels with toyo 235/40/17 tires(75% thread left--after shaving and heat cycled) that weigh in with lug nuts at 40.5 lbs! Thats about 9-10 over a stock wheel and tire(with lug nuts) and a good 4.5 lbs over my enkei rpf 1's 18x8 with the o40's! My rpf 1's wgt was 45lbs. So a much lighter weight wheel and a good gear reduction affect.(these wheel tire combo is over an inch shorter than the 18's with stock o40's.
So this will be my 1st time at RA with my race pads(carbo tech panters up front and bobcats in the back), my koni's with teins H springs(already had the RB sways), R compund tires and a smaller wheel. I think that tells me on Saturday I will be exploring the car and maybe by the last session that day I can get to a 9/10. My shift points will change and my brake points will change. Alas.
Hey bullit proof that vacumn thingy with a more studier plug!

Good stuff OD! You will be the one to watch.

The rear seats weight 25 lbs. I take them out so I don't mess them up hauling my wheels.

OD, I too thought that DSC was going to become a big problem for me at TGPR. And it really wasn't. It intruded acouple times when I wish it hadn't, but the few other times it came on, was because of an operator error. I screwed up, and it helped to bail me out, of what could have been a mess, not an offtrack mess, we left that to a couple of pros. I also talked to Charlie about driving RA, and he said DSC was not a real issue for him at RA. And the way I see it, he turns times there a lot faster than I can, so i really doubt DSC will bother me, unless I screw up. Just my thoughts...
