Second session.....I forget the exact turn number (5?), but cresting the hill before going down into the esse's, I came over the hill way, way too hot for cold tires and a cold track (it was sooooo damn cold that day)......car never made the right turn...I just 4 wheeled straight ahead through the grass (thank god)....all right in front of Nabil............

I guess he holding the video of it back for a rainy day and a good laugh.......

Only damage was some mud and my ego........it was quite humbling.....it happed very quickly......I think I stayed puckered up all over the place for the rest of the day.....hmmmm, maybe it was the cold........

I dunno about passengers at the track but who wants a ride in my car on the street? At night? Hustling Atlanta's finest ricers out of their allowance money? If not taking their cash at least seeing the gaping mouths of those who thought the RX-8 was slow? I might even let some of y'all drive it around a bit, ya known share the goodness.

Again, like a said before Charles. You're me new best friend!

I'm counting down the days. I just got a pair of Simpson racing shoes for my birthday, so I'm getting all geared up. They are really good to wear beause they make the pedals much easier to feel and heel-toeing becomes really easy.

It was turn 3. I don't know if I have it on video. Have to look at the footage posted. I wouldn't laugh anyway. That can happen to anyone. Thankfully it was in an area not leading into a tire barrier. The Boxster driver and previously the Miata driver were not that lucky. That day was so damn cold. I am hoping we'll see temps in the high 60s or 70s for our day in March.

Make sure they are the elastic waistband type. Then again, he has leather so it'll be easy to clean.

Yep
My conculsion was over inflated also. Too much air can be a bad thing. Anyway fronts are still good, so new rubber on the back it is. I have a set of oem P's already heeh.
Silver you can ride with me anytime. Dont forget your helmet. I have some extra depends --are you large or extralarge?! I know about wives!
Charles, man I think the questionis "Who doesn't want to ride?!" Where is the action around this area guys I dont know it.
This sounds like it is going to be some competitive times (mostly fun times though)!
March in Ga--- weather wise it is unpredictable, be ready for anything. FRom cool to cold to warm who knows. But at least it is for 2 days this time. Anyone going to run the racing gas. How do we know if it is going to be available. Surely it is.

Hey Nabil, maybe we should put the car numbers to your list? Do we have that compiled yet? I'll go back thru this thread and see what I can pull together unless you already have it. I'd like to have that as well.

Anyone using a track lap time system or are you using the stopwatch method to determine lap times?

A few weeks ago I went through some of my past commuinques with other members asking how their projects were coming along with regard to the advice I gave them. I heard back today from one who is running 14 psi on his RX-8/Renesis. He said he will soon be hitting the dyno and I told him to expect about 400 h.p. if it is otherwise stock. He is also using cryo to help the intercooler along. Depending on the flywheel, he may find between 400 and 415 rwhp when all the tuning tweaks are done. Talk about confidence-inspiring!! I am really confident that I can get my 8-9 psi and 100 h.p. shot to work, now. By R/A, I am not sure. Depends on how soon I can take delivery and install that ever-elusive turbo kit. With numbers like these low 11's are do-able if the drivetrain holds out. I know the FD's differential would go kaput in the mid to high 11 range.

Is the person going with 14 psi using a standalone ecu? Backing out timing as the psi increases. I'm curious as to the dyno reading. Is he using nitrous as well. Your semi-correct about the FD differential. It's not really set up for hard drag type launches with a lot of HP. Replacing the trailing arm and toe link helps by not allowing as much wheel hop since the bushings are replaced with solid heim joints. I have seen more than 1 differential take a puke at the 1/4 track when they dropped the pedal at 6000 rpms.
