It would be great to get a few car clubs together and see if we can take that course hostage for a weekend.

I am sure i can bring some people form mazda6club along with me.

At this Ft. Myers event you'll work 30 minutes on the track for 3 runs. No gofers needed :D

Do they setup the track in a different layout each event, or do they have the same layout everytime?

I also did some reading on Sebring. I like the idea of a 3.7 mile course, but not the idea of other cars on the track at the same time. I like my paint job.

Saturdays track is always the same, sundays changes, and is usually around a mile long.

The HPDE events have cars at the same time, however you can not pass unless allowed to pass and only on the straights. It's a "High Performance Driving Event" not a race. You get to drive your car at speed on a race track. They do have Timing equipment that works with Longacre's Hot Lap, but it really isn't a race event.

Alex, so does that mean I wouldnt have to worry about "rubbing" ?

I guess I can always take a drive up there and check it out, and if i feel like I can handle it, the next time they have an event i will enter.

What is the cost of Sebring, and do any of you RX8 people attend?

there's no "trading paint" the cost is 250 plus 25 for the instructor.

I won't be going to the Sebring event, I will be going to the Homestead event.

check my other thread in this forum. The link should give you all the info you need.
