So I didn't buy an A4. I didn't buy a new Miata (BUT WOW!!!!!!). I didn't buy a mazda 3s. I didn't buy lots of stuff.

What did I buy?

Galaxy Grey 2006 Honda Civic Si off the showroom floor. I am hoping the break-in is over soon, and would love to run through our little trek near the tail of the dragon with the Georgia gang.

Also, a good friend of mine, Sean, just bought an RX8 and wants to go too. When is a good time?

I think someone posted a thread looking for another mountain run on the garx8club.com website. If gas ever drops below $2.50 I may be in for it.
So how do you like the SI compaired to the 8? My exgirlfriend has the regular civic will all the bells and whistles including nav and I love driving that car.

Yeah, I was there... I wish I could have seen your miata. Is it yours or were you codriving with someone?

We had a bit of bad luck. Got a big nasty screw in our race tires on my 2nd run and that put us out for the day.

These dyno 195+ to the wheels, so the official power rating is a bit off. It rides nice, but not what I am used to yet. Its FWD, so I have to get used to that again.

Mine is basically a stock Si, got it for MSRP after working real hard to get the markup down.

How about Saturday or Sunday (25/26) in the morning? I am pretty sure I am free...

Woot! Proud to be a REAL member here now... hehe. My girlfriend isn't too happy that I have a new "baby" but I think she'll learn to understand.

I'm definitely game for a mountain run... I need to get the dealer to replace my two rear tires first though... I bought my rx8 used, and the rear tires are pretty much slicks at this point. Heheh...

 

Glad to have you sean. If the dealer is going to replace them gratis, then go for it. Otherwise I'd suggest you replace all 4 with a different tire. The RE's are waaay too expensive - you can get a much better tire for less. Browse around through the Wheel and Tire section.

 

Yeah, I've been chatting with Splan8 this morning about that... I might just go ahead and replace all 4. I'll browse around and see what's what in the tire section.

 

I'm going to panama for college spring break week this weekend I'll be up for it just about any other weekend though. The miata is mine and it was a blast driving it especially the 720 that I did mid track on the first run

Oh is anyone here planning on going to the road atlanta 1 year car show or whatever it's called in April? I'm planning on going with a few friends.
