My vote is 2 - 9 ... just one
AWESOME job on Race Rock! Love the idea and was hoping that it would work out that way.
On a side note my younger brother works as a bartender at Darryl's Steak House on I-drive, I can see if he can work a deal for us for dinner if that sounds alright since we will be just up the street. Let me know!!!
Anyone else think they can get some donated prizes? Being that I am so far away my dealership here in GA declined to participate, but for understandable reasons.

So.....should I not make reservations for bowling? I agree that is too far away to guarantee 40 or so ppl. What should I do?
I am very much go with the flow on this stuff....make reservations, don't...it doesn't matter to me. Just let me know what I should do, because I have until Thursday.
I plan on hangin out for the duration of the meet. So whatever it is we decide to do, I'll be sticking around.
Raz,
For the t-shirts... the two colors that you mentioned, are they white and grey? or is that a blue-ish color I see for the back on #4? Also, are those lettering colors accurate to what the end result will be? Like the red/blue/black lettering? I can't make up my mind yet. I'll get back to you later (sorry i know you have to order them tomorrow).
Oops, nevermind. I see the post about the colors being white/grey. On my roommate's laptop, #4 looks more blue. sorry

i dont think any fewer people will be interested in bowling now that the drive is farther, we wanted to cruise to dinner and then to bowling, but this will work out better.
unless we decide to eat somewhere on i-drive
2-8 rocks!

How about number 9 for the back...It's still being called the Now and then rotary meet....and for the front how about...if wankel only knew... The front shouldn't be wordy...so either 1 or "if wankel only knew.." should be the front...but i love 9 for the back..it's my fav....just my 2 cents..

FREE ADVICE!
Okay, from all the PMs, posts and email....you've pretty much decided. It's 2-9. I'll get the shadows looking good behind the "Now" and "Then".
And as an added special treat.....I'm gonna let you know what the doorprize is. I took a picture of it after I got home tonight.
Posted it on the site.....

Question about the shirts....
Is there anyway to have the letter colors match from front to back? The way it is now, it looks like the front has got blue letters, and the back's got red and black. Any way to do black lettering in front to go with red/black on back, OR stick w/ blue front, and black and blue back?
Am I the only one that cares about the sides matching?
Again, what am I doing about bowling? Reserve? Yes, no, maybe so? If so, how many?
Nobody really responded to my post.....

Just so you all know, nyc_scorpio of the rx7club.com is following up on Blanchard....maybe get us a deal, but looks like Racerock is set with you guys(?)
Shirts look good but agree with Driven on the front being
"If Wankel only knew..." and then design 9 in the back.
I'm down for a shirt whatever it is though.

I definitely prefer the idea of Race Rock over Blanchard Park.
The door prize is really cool, hope I'm the lucky person that walks away with that....
I agree the shirts should match front to back color wise and vote to stay with the red/black combo rather than the blue.
Bowling is still cool with me...

Okay...the final shirts are posted. I'll barter with the silk screen company and see if I can get two front designs for about the same price as the one. The letters now have matching colors, front and back.
Ya'll gotta help me unload these shirts. I'm not looking to make any money, but I'll need to recover whatever I put on the VISA or my wife will hold a rotary meet on my ***. I'll know exact amounts from the silk screen biz today. I may be able to bargain with them if I give them exposure on the mazdanow.com website. We'll see. I plan on obtaining about 60 shirts. More? Less?
If anyone can get more doorprizes, let them know we will give them website exposure as well. Any establishment donating doorprizes in excess of $50 or more will receive a banner/link for their business on the mazdanow.com website for one year. The intensity of exposure they will recieve will be directly proportional to the generosity of their contribution.
The doorprize shown on the website is not a clock, but a desktop conversation piece. There's a **** on the back which you can actually turn the rotors which are made of some sort of metal, titanium probably. Yes....we will simply fill out slips an pull one from a hat. I won't be participating because it would look fishy if I won, plus the winner can buy me a beer later (UNLESS ITS SOME MINOR.........HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA).
I like everyone else, like the Race Rock location the best. I'm calling Quality Inn right up the street for good rates and proximity (less than ¼ mile). Their toll free number if anyone else is interested, is 1-800-999-8585. It's right in the heart of all the International Drive action.
I'm on the fence about bowling for two reasons. 1) We'll be right in the middle of swing-town Orlando. We may see many wonderous thangs more intriguing. 2) It requires a commitment and one of ours to be on the hook and we really haven't had that many "hard-core" confirmations. 3) Time may wind up being a factor.
Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone. Hope a few more stay at the Quality Inn....
