Best dealer for service in Atlanta???
I've taken my 04 AT (insert snicker here) to Mazda of Roswell 3 times since I bought it used in October 06 and have received so-so service at best (lots of "can't reproduce the issue" responses...). I'd like to get an idea of which dealer offers the best service experience (ie, working with the customer to root out issues).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

Sutherlan Mazda up in Buford is where a bunch of us go. It's kind of a drive, but worth it, as they know us well and take good care of the RX8 brethren. They actually have a sub forum over at garx8club.com. You should swing by and introduce yourself...we're a pretty active group.

+1 on what Gimlet said. Then again, I am in the same local club.
If it is non-warranty work, check out Mazcare in Smyrna/Marietta. They are awesome - and do pre-buy evaluations of issues. Link to their site and sub-forum at garx8club.com as well.

Thanks for the info - much appreciated. I am in South Forsyth so getting to Sutherlin will be no problem for me. I'll let'em know y'all gave a good reference.
I'll be sure to check out garx8club.com also. Are AT folks welcome or is it more geared toward MT worshipers?

Lots of fun at the local garx8club.com site. I am an AT owner, and have never heard a peep about it. We save most of our flaming for here.
Check out the upcoming driving/viewing/party at Road Atlanta. Lots of good folks and cars coming up for the weekend. Think we are up to 30-40 people now and possibly a magazine showing up to take pics.

And did you mean Forsyth - the city or the county. Am guessing if you hit the Roswell dealer, its the county. I grew up in north Alpharetta and my family lives off exit 13 on 400.

Be careful with Sutherlin. A few months ago I took my RX8 to have an oil leak diagnosed and fixed by John at Southerlin. He said the Oil Metering Pump needed to be replaced. So I ended up paying just over a thousand dollars for that one part plus labor. I took it home and noticed a few days later that my car was still leaking oil. I took it back to Southerlin. John tells me that it looks like the oil pan seal is leaking now and shows me that there is no oil on the metering pump. Last week while under my car, I saw oil dripping from the Oil Metering Pump and all around it.
I thought the new oil metering pump had gone bad so I took it back to Sutherlin. I told Susan to tell John to make sure that it's the oil pan seal because I noticed oil on the oil metering pump. I wait for a few minutes in the waiting room. Then John with Susan and a couple other service people come out. John says a few things and says "let me do my job...." and "I guarantee that it's not the oil metering pump." He says something along the lines of, give me a day and I will put dye in the oil and tell where this leak is coming from. I was thinking later that if he did his job in the first place, I probably wouldn't even need to be there. He didn't appear to care that I already spent over $1,000 for him to fix my car from leaking oil. I'm sure they will always say that there were two leaks and the Oil Metering Pump was one of them. That's probably true but he shouldn't have been rude to me about letting him do his job. Also, don't just look and say it's probably the oil pan seal without being sure.
I'd definitely go with Mazcare if it's not warranty work.
