No I was up early, but got stuck in a line at the car wash. I got over there about noon or so. Phil told me you'd just left. Sorry I missed you. We started to leave Sat afternoon ourselves. I would have liked to trail you through the Gap. I'd like to have seen how those mods affected the handling.

I figured i might as well explore a little bit since i'd already driven the dragon so many times. Ended up leaving out early sunday morning. I think i got back to the ham arond 12:00 or so in the afternoon.

You were right ahead of me, I got back about 1:00. The others came back much later.
BTW, Did any of you guys get in on Mazda Mania? Registration has now closed. I hope to see more 8s there. It should be lots of fun.

You guys got room for a chick with a 6? I know I own the little brother to the 8, but I was hoping to hang with you guys some. I'm in the 'ham, well Montevallo actually. I have a couple of parts sitting in my garage that I'm to broke to have put on, but I was hoping to find a group that is mechanically savvy. Oh and sorry boys, not a HOT chick in a 6, plus I like girls.

I'm going to be home between May 28th and June 6th. If anything is going down Sunday the 29th - June 5th, I'd like to hear about it. I won't have the 8... but I could borrow my parents old Mazda Truck Last time I went to a MRCCAL event it was about 7 people at the Jim 'N Nicks in Trussville. I hope the community has grown some since then.

Mr W, all of the slots are taken for May 28. We'll be at Med Ctr starting at 9:00 for a quick gathering and car show. We'll be at Barber's around noon and run a lap or two, then back to Med Ctr. Maybe you could come check us out there or at Vulcan around 5:00.

Robertdot, sorry you're gonna miss Magic City Mazda Mania on Saturday. Hope things are going well on the left coast for you. MRCCAL along with Mr W and I took a trip to Deal's Gap in late April. That was quite a blast. Several RX8 guys are planning another run on the Gap the second weekend of September. If you haven't been, you should try to get back and make the run.

Hmmm...quite a few Rx-8s in AL. Theres only a few in Huntsville.

Anyhow, I've got a Mazda3 that needs some 18" Rx-8 wheels. If you guys have a set available for sale, please send me a PM.

Want to throw my hat in the ring around here- albeit a little prematurely.

I bought an 05 titanium 6 sp last week, and will be moving to Tuscaloosa in about 3 weeks from Los Angeles. I'd say I'm in for a culture shock, but we really don't have any culture out here in L.A., so I can't imagine any kind of shock...

Scouted a place to live last week just in time for the junior hurricaine. How do the weather seals work on these cars?

How often do you folks show up at Barber Motorsports Park? I have four incredible tracks within 1:45 of me here, so I'm a little nervous...

Zelig,

Bunch of us are planning to head out to Barber's track for a race in july. I usually go there about 2 times a year. One of the best track I've seen.

I think you'll like AL... I was quite surprised moving here from Cincy, OH..
One of the best place I've lived..

Herblenny-

When in July? I'll be in Tuscaloosa by the 17th or 18th. What's a few more miles to the east?

What race, by the way?
