A Bosch guide to tuning theory (link/pics)

http://bama.ua.edu/~darren/boschindex.html

well, it's not really a guide to tuning theory in general, but rather an old guide to the spiritual predecessor of the Rx-8 PCM, the Bosch L-Jetronic system. That was the first major system to use an airflow meter and most of the basic sensors still used in a lot of fuel injection systems today.

Here are a few pages:

Almost this exact type of system was licensed to NipponDenso to use in 80s Japanese cars like the 84-85 (series 3 GSL-SE model) fuel injected first generation Rx-7's. It slowly became more sophisticated in the Series 4 and Series 5 second gen cars. The Series 6 through 8 cars (FD) used Bosch D-jetronic style injection aka speed density. Here is a little background on D-Jetronic and the sensors and theory behind it.
